Can’t believe hes gone… Glad he got to have a killer 84th birthday bash. My first date with the Mrs. Was Phil and friends many years ago.

Listening to other ones from 5/3/72. Phil takes the lead.

Whats everyone’s favorite phil moment? Jam or otherwise!

Always loved his quips and banter. He would just say the funniest most off hand comments. 12/2/73 has some funny banter…. great jams too.

Favorite phil musical moment would probably be the bass line to sugaree

Phil coming to Musictoday, a former employer that specialized in artist web-sites and merchandising, to tell us to re-code the Phil Lesh website so it worked with his ancient assed Mozilla browser circa 2002/2003.

He signed my PLQ poster on the wall of the office. I didn’t notice it for years.

Always liked Phil. He kept the flame alive playing with all sorts of musicians. In the early days his bass held the G.D. together and gave them a platform to play on. His smile always made me feel better. As Bill Graham said," They’re not the best at what they do, they’re the only ones that do what they do I’m Grateful they recorded the dream, the Beauty and the Reality. Bon Voyage Phil Lesh and peace for your family.

I’m very bummed to see this, I last saw Phil & Friends at Terrapin Crossroads in late ‘16 I was in the very front maybe 7-8 feet from Phil, eating fluff like it was going out of style I had a feeling that would never happen again…

I’m not a deadhead just big fan of classic rock and jam bands among other sounds but always appreciated Phil’s contribution to the world of music. Saw him still popping up in the last few years at various concerts and believe he lived a very full and rewarding life.
