Weed thievery seems to be looked at as acceptable by many people( non growers). I never understood that. Stealing is stealing , no matter what it is. I had LOTS of plants swiped in the past, the worst being the plants I had watered with my uncles ashes (along with my dog.) All 11 plants were taken the day before my wedding day( i intended to harvest on my wedding day). This was supposed to be my Honeymoon weed. @leaf sorry about the thievery. I feel your pain.
For soil-borne pathogens, there is no correlation between the presence of the organism in the soil and the expression of the disease in the crop.
Infections severe enough to produce crop loss are correlated with the absence of suppressive organisms more than the presence of the pathogen.
Umm okay google
@Leaf â I had this & just watched it die day by dayâŚ
I removed the main roots & stalk, applied a heavy amount of worm compost on top & over-wintered it, replanted same spot next year no problem. These were all seed plants, not clones, so none of that STD stuffâŚ
Aloha
I worked in an experimental horticultural station
We used to test some different method to treat
Fungus or cryptogamic soil diseases and the Best was Bio fumigation
WE Sowed brassicaceae in the contaminated plot
Then at the end of bloom WE broke ,incorporate watering
And cover with tarpaulin for 15 days
then the crushed plant cover produces glucosynolate which destroys parasitic fungi
so we can save a few years to reuse the plots after analyzes
Right out of my backyard in the city. I usually always plant in raised bed planters but this year i decided to try 2 in raised beds and two in big giant pots I bought from Walmart - those are the two they stole.
Sad thing is they will probably just die due to lack of knowledge of how to grow.
Damn @Upstate that is a terrible time to lose plants to thieves- definitely right; it seems more common now, especially with this legalization.
Every ma and pa is growing erbs these days now too. It is the absolute worst feeling in the world to know thieves were in my backyard lurking around stealing my two babies.
Sorry for your loss @cannabissequoia ; thatâs good that the soil was still fine after. Gives me hope heh. Just decided to cull her down and hope my last one gets more sunshine and grows massive !
