Pre Mixing Dry Nutes For Later

Hey all wondering if anyone has any input on the length of time I could keep my maxibloom mixed and put off to the side for ease of use… When I get home its late and the wife doesn’t like me making a bunch of noise so if I can cut out a step and just make a big batch and ph it when im ready to use that would be great!

I wouldn’t add anything else like molasses or epsom salt until watering.

Also what would be the best way to store it I.e. temp etc?

Thanks and Happy Growing

I know that if you mix nutes and wanna use them later you’ll need to aerate them for the time being, a small pump for fish and a stone will do the job. But i also have heard of people who leave them be for days on end, and nothing happens…

Have you tried it before…

Maybe take the dosage of powder out from the packs and mix it quietly when you get home… I dunno!

Cheers!

Well I guess I sorta have tried with not so great results, but that was over a week in a 1 gallon jug in room temp with molasses in it. I used it as a last resort because the wife was about to abort the lil girls I had left from waking her up and it had already been too long for them as they were wilted because I went away so that may have been my problem also hahaha

I’m trying to tune it all in now before I get to pop those beans @MadScientist :sunglasses: can’t wait bro

But im definitely going automated watering drip system for sure, unless I get off my but and build my lab in the basement - where noise, visitors, etc won’t be a problem and even then I am a scatter brain so automation might be :key: for me

I mix up lots of gallon jugs of dry (powdered)
fertilizer and use it over the next 2 to 3 days.
I have lots of container plants, so I always use my pre-mixed solutions within 3 days at most.
Never had any problems doing this.
FWIW.

I mix a pail of four gallons of dry nutes, I have never been concerned with oxygen content. If I was I would just stir it up with a paint mixer on a cordless drill or even a hand beater. On one side of my wall is the veg room 4 gallons lasts a week on the bloom side it lasts two days

@Calyxander So three days so far, any amount of time hslps, gives me enough time to get next gallon ready in between watering without disturbing the princess, thanks for the experience
