Recreational vs Medicinal in Michigan

What is the difference? I understand many of you like myself grow your own and may not go anywhere to get bud, concentrates etc, but this holiday season my dad is interested to go grab some concentrates, possibly edibles and flower in detroit.

We are wondering what is the difference between recreational and medicinal products? Do you get better deals for having a medical card or something? I read that medicinal product is potentially “cleaner” then recreational etc while being pricier? I have no idea. His card expires in december so we are definitely going to go before it does. I am glad I can finally check out a couple shops myself, I haven’t been to a dispensary since 2019 or so, so this will be a fun little trip.

I asked when I got mine. We had to go to different places in the store. I was glad I have a card.

What rosin press do you use? Been thinking of either buying or building one.

The biggest difference between the two is the quality of the the products as far as testing thresholds go. This is just for a microbial test:

Recreational has 10x higher limit.

Find a Co-Op, bring a med card holder.
Caregiver weed rules for quality, IMHO

Do you have a gummies recipe you’d reccomend? Those look pretty good in terms of consistency.

This is random guys but I do not decarb my weed before making cannabutter. And I only cook it for 30 mins or so. I can’t smoke for 2 more months cos of probation but my twin eats the edibles I make and he gets wicked stoned, to the point where he can barely speak. And my butter is made mostly with sugar leaves. All I do is make sure the butter boils in a dish in a pan with water in it for at least like 30 mins. (Make sure the pan has a lid so it gets really hot in there)

Think about it, when you burn weed, you decarb it instantly and it gets you high. As long as the butter boils, thc should activate rather quickly imo. Just my two cents and I see butter recipes calling for 6 hours etc. What a load of bs

its all good man, you do what works for you.
