i changed my mind about the apple fritter thing. i just want to f2 the 3 flea market seeds i have. my next pollen chucking project is top secret but i donā€™t want to jinx myself before itā€™s made. already sprouted seeds for it. iā€™m going to take the ā€˜top secretā€™ male and pollinate a few things, iā€™m thinking some (vintage hawaiian indica x wookie) from bodhi, the last of my apollo 11 genius pheno f4, and maybe some sunshine daydream. all bodhi even though that wasnā€™t my intention. i might mix it up a bit but thatā€™s about right.

:arrow_forward: Hold that thoughtā€¦ @Coffin_Dodger just did an excellent smoke report on his two NB females. Be sure to check out his grow thread he has a lot of excellent things going on over there!

Neganā€™s Bat Smoke report @Coffin_Dodger

Neganā€™s Bat (Ryknows Selections [Tombstone F2 X BamBam], photo, regular) Courtesy of @Rhai and @Skunk IE
Two Plants, Two Phenos. 100% germination, zero expression of hermaphrodite traits. 3 seeds germinated, one seedling culled. Both were topped once. Both were short, extremely bushy, tight, massive fan leaves with deep, slightly rounded serration. Quite ā€œbroad leafed.ā€ Dark foliage. Slow vertical growth. Happy with medium GH feed schedule, though it could possibly have been tailored to reduce N, as the leaves were a bit shiny. An easy grow, they took well to steering with LST and scrogging, and would benefit from an extended vegetative period and more topping for a sea of dense, stacked colas. Both exhibited very low, ā€œdarkā€, earthy and savory stem rubs through vegetation, and are very spicy greens. Both had branches nearly as thick as the meristems, and were hollow through out. Even lowers all the way to the meristem will fatten up well, considering their position, if allowed. Fully ā€œtop-shelfā€ mature bud was present 7 or 8 nodes down on both plants. We intend to grow these again soon.

#QT
Notable growth traits: Shorter, more green, EXTREMELY dense. Very little stretch. (~.5x or less) Showed sex before flip.

While the nose of the flower matured from the savory end to sweet, the over-all taste when vaped maintains a fresh mushroom earthiness that compliments the sweet tones which developed into a spiced citrus much more on the lime than lemon side of things. The flowers are very dense, but easy to break up, not overly-oily or sticky. The effect is a calming, though driving experience. While the body relaxes into a high which is not heavy-handed nor jittery, the mind is readied to find something to do and enjoy- be it cleaning the house, or heading into the world. A great ā€œanytime smokeā€ as much as one to come home to after a long day.

#FD
Notable growth traits: Taller, though still probably of medium-short stature when not impeded by a scrog-style grow. Some lavender/purple tones in the mature flowers and fade. Dense. Slight Stretch. (~1.5x) Delayed sexing.

The #FD plant was the least tended to, due to its position in the tent, but had very little issue considering. She was (almost entirely) harvested a week earlier than her sister, and had gone from the savory steak-seasoned portabella and orange of the stem rubs, through into a flavor that balances an earthy, incense-like base note, with a powerful nose and higher end of artificial-fruit cereal in cream. The high is more active, as one would expect, though still very well balanced, with no jitters or amped-feeling, just an over-all enhancement of oneā€™s own energy level. Very good for creative endeavors, or tedious, zoned-out work.

Yeah F2ā€™s make sense but watch them be epic. Better hope you can at least one of each m/f lol

Thereā€™s nothing wrong with thatā€¦ if you have anything specific youā€™re looking for let me know I can look through my collection and toss you some genetics. I have so many seeds Iā€™ll never get to at this point lol Wouldnā€™t mind helping you out my friend!

i just hope they germ. the guy obviously saved them and labeled them on purpose. it has a good story line to it if it turns out to be great, lol. that would be pretty cool if the genetics are fire, :fire: :+1:

I popped 3 of the BBB x BD beans last fall, ended up with 1 female. Made a couple mistakes along the way, maybe she was a little finicky, but she hung in there. Took her at about 9 1/2 weeks. She gave us very nice, hard, dense buds. Had a sweet but rotten berry and burnt rubber smell before chop. Its had good 3 month cure now and is on point. Smells of wonderful earth and blueberries. The smoke is suuuuper smooth, and you definitely get the blueberry after taste. More of an evening smoke for me. Our current favorite of our selections. Definitely recommend and would pop again

Wowā€¦ that is some damn good looking herb my friend! Could have fooled me on the mistakes! Iā€™m happy to see the BBB x BBD getting some love and very happy that itā€™s up there in your favorites! If you ever see anything else youā€™d like to try from us just reach out! Appreciate you giving us some space in your garden @Cannabinoid !

Hey @Rhai88

Bringing this over here. As I mentioned I was about to start Coastal Blueberry and Mountain Gold as an outdoor crop. Curious to learn more about your CBB X BOG X BBD

Iā€™ve never grown a BB related strain, and Iā€™m a sativa guy at heart. Would be interested to see how the traits manifest in a more sativa dominant plant.

(CBB x BOG SG) x BBD would be a new adventure I believe only @Greenfingers has started that adventure. The First pheno of the CBB x BOG SG was the heaviest pure Blueberry and thatā€™s what Iā€™ve been sending out first. There were 3 different phenos all dusted with BBD pollen.

I got love for my sweet strains but Iā€™ve been on a blueberry/sweet kick for a long while now. Iā€™m excited to get the Meixcan sativas going. The Snow high pack is filled with potential. Already tasted it with the Blueberry Blast from Snow High. I will definitely be tossing some of the pollen from that run at my current lineup.

Yea, Iā€™m excited to see what comes from all those SH packs. Out of curiosity, what would you expect if we are able to get further back in the Mexican sativa lineage (those old seeds of mine)? We know there is a connection to the Big Sur lineage, which is sort of what Iā€™m expecting to find.

Where else do OG Michoacan and Oaxacan lines pop up?

  • Genetic diversity that is needed (especially with all these watered down genetics)
  • Unfamiliar terpene profiles (especially for us who work mainly with modern hybrids)
  • Different effects.

Iā€™ve been wanting to work with true sativas for the last couple of years but I just never got around to it. I definitely have some modern hybrids that I like to inject some sativa traits into! They would be fun projects.

Shit Iā€™m sure all over the world. If you subscribe to what researchers are showing is that cannabis all originated in central Asia. So weā€™re just rocking central Asian cannabis everywhere we just happen to be expressing those phenotypes in the different regions right? lol

(although that is all up for debate) lol

Got most everything in pots now. You have to expand the picture but youā€™re front left and left side rear. I have three of six on the cb x sg x bbd I havenā€™t given up on two of them yet but one looks like it doesnā€™t have cotyledons. I also put three Negans bat in a paper towel today. Thanks again for the chance with these.

Well damn thatā€™s a bummer. I hope those other two make it up. Were the seeds at least 6 for 6 on tails? I seen the picture you posted above with 5. One was MIA from the pic! lol

Thereā€™s two that didnā€™t have tails, those are the ones I havenā€™t given up on yet.
