SAN checking in @ OG

Hi @santero. I’m just popping in to say hello and wanted to tell you that I’ve been admiring your work and your selections for awhile now, as well as your generosity to the community. Much respect. I find all of your projects interesting, but one in particular caught my eye and that’s the A5 x C5 bx. It’s my understanding most us are familiar with the C5 because Nevil didn’t make many seeds of the A5, and the NL5 x Haze Sensi released were from the C5. The picture of the NL5 x Haze that Sensi uses in their catalog was the C5. I have some A5 S1 Karma made and I’m looking forward to seeing what I find in them in the future. I figured they would be the closest I would ever come to the A5 clone, but I expect variability in them. Does the A5 clone lean heavy to the Haze side?

a bit more than the c5, in my opinion.
more thin leafs and longer flotime too.

the effects of the a5 are also a bit more heady compared to the
c5hz (which can become “sleepy”, if she stands too long  )

@avr1
OOH, that would be amazing … the closest thing i grew to the HA
was karma’s biker, i already enjoy that one a LOT, so the bx3 and
crosses would be killer  *yessss *

Hey mindless, still learning how to quote and stuff.
Hope all is well.
Yes I absolutely love it.
You did a good job.
She’s excellent.
Nice spicy taste and a smell I imagine a mid eastern hash den would smell like.
I have 2 fruit salads flowering now but I killed everything else because of broad mites.
I have cleaned and restarted
16 more lol “mindless”.
Hope I did your name sake justice.
Happy gardens

The old picture sensi use to sell the nl5 x haze C is actualy the exact a5 mother plant nevil used to make the 97 nevils haze.
That a5 clone they use that goes around now (Karmas)can lean in looks a bit more towards the nl#5 though the effect is about 50/50 . There supposed to have another clone they keep private called a5 #3 which is a bit more haze leaning.
They are still quite far off nevils actual breeding clone. Which ive pictured along with another clone just for refrance so you can compare the current clone

what i recieved from sam were “nevils originals” and that was about six years ago.
i don’t know more than that. the a5 stands at least 16 weeks = legit enough for me.

BUT…
i am about to drop the a5 and only keep focusing on the c5.
others (= much more capable people than me) are aleready
working with her and i prefer the effects of c5, over the other.

people like doc_d and karma + a few commercial seedmakers
are doing a lot of very nice thing with the a5. so, i won’t bother
next up is a new meridian haze (= c5bx3) and then i’ll move on,
because i’m a not a hazehead anyways.

"Chopped Up Biker" - Pheno #4
(Ghostrider OG x Chocolate Fudge)
aka. “CUB4”

harvested at 54 days:
i took this one down very early to have a chance to experience
the full range of the pheno. live plants have a strong “hazey” smell
in the beginning that translates more and more into a strong fuely
glue-mix with a bit of the haziness in the back, very strong smell.

the dry buds reek like chocolate diesel (satty-side) and glue/og mixed.
quite the strong smell. the woody, dry choco powder dominates the in-
hale/exhale over a noticable chem/og-backtaste, with some kushy pine
that lingers for a while. the air smells a bit like pine/haze/glue, very nice.
me body doesn’t know this pheno yet, so the foist effects will be genuine.

the effect in this stage is almost racy, euphoric like the choco diesel-satty
phenos, but with a strong bodacious element that without a doubt comes
from the kush/og and gorrilla glue mixing up. my ears ring after a short bit
of smoking and focusing is very easy … but still, the limbs are quite heavy
and “me want food” !! (and after strong babble-moments i go into staring-
mode, if smoking a whole jay in one go, lol.)

harvested at 60 days:
dry buds smell more “forresty”, the pine is upped a bit and there is a slight
toffey-like after taste in the back of the mouth. otherwise: same terps as the
earlier harvested one. at this point she has more body-effects and the head
turned a bit more cloudy, with a soft pressure on the temples … my ears still
ring, but the body feels heavier. this stuff is potent for sure. heavy feet and
eyelids.

this spicy and sweet-earthy piney smoke i know well. the choco diesel-taste
and effect mixes with the white’s kushy equivalents, plus some subtle gg#4/
og kush thrown in to round things up. i like all the genetics involved and enjoy
the (re)mix of all those tastes/smells.

64 days:
ha, i feel like the later the plants stand, the more the glue starts to come out in
the smoke. the hazyness stays, but starts to play more in the background and the
piney/kushy tastes get richer and make them known a bit stronger. this stage shows
potential for “comfy-weed” for watching movies or playing video-games. it keeps
you focused and lit, while it looks to others, as if you were just staring, lol.

69 Days:
the bud at this stage is super-rich, thick smoke and the chemmy glue-terps come
out strongest here … the effect turned almost completely bodacious, but a little
flame stays lit on top of me head. this is a chocolate fudge-dominant pheno, that
has a lot of the CF’s taste and smell going (favoring the choco diesel-side of that
parent in this regard), while its obvious that the biker brought in a very distinctive
og-element to the bud that mixes very well to the chemmy glue-element. this cross
completes both parental sides, imo. now the white’s classic kush-profile fell into a
‘hazey’ -fuely chocolate diesel-bed,and got wrapped in biker kush’s modern og kush-
blanket … what’s not to like?

i apologize for the flash in the pictures, but i really don’t know how to handle a cam …
i just point and snap in automatic-mode, so whatever comes from that is what i show.

Thanks for showing those. The Meridian Haze is at the top of the list for my next summer’s grow. This year I’m growing beginner/practice Hazes and next year will be the real deal.
