The other cool thing about screw ins is the wide range of ā€œFull Spectrumā€ bulbs you can get on ebay.

Well Iā€™m considering purchasing one of these splitters. Just wanting to clarify as these are the only ones I can find on eBay so I imagine everyone else must be running Chinese light splitters?

Ā£7 UK delivery so cheap as chips if these are those then Iā€™m laughing Iā€™ll prolly buy a couple :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

wow, a dollar 50 a receptacle, that is cheap. I would have had to pay $8 a receptacle when I built mine, if I hadnā€™t of salvaged 3 strings of temporary construction lighting from a dumpster.

I may get a few of these myself. Is that 100w max for it?

These are what i was referring to

I think youā€™re stoned bro :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I said Ā£7 not Ā£1  I do believe it must be 100W max that or a funny coincidence that house LED bulbs come around 14W standard and 7x 14 is 98. So just below the rigs max. Plus on what you and others have said these works great would be a good way of starting plants off. I currently just use one CFL bulb so if I get one of these splitters I can gradually increase light to buildup for the SK penetration :+1:

And thanks for clarification @Misolo313 Iā€™ll be buying some of these in the near future for something

ALso should mention on those splitters if your handy you can take off the backs of them and jsut solid wire them if you want, saves a bunch of height.

oh and check aliexpress they are cheap there.

As for bulbs my favorite are the philips 14w and 8w non dimmable, cheap but good quality for the price

You mean take the socket off and just hard wire it? Iā€™ve got a few to setup and have been thinking about how to do itā€¦by the time I buy sockets and junction boxes etc Iā€™ll double the cost of the things. I also have no idea how to hang them without putting lots of pressure on the socket.

Go to the dolorama store and bye a 3 meter extension cord, cut the female end off, and wire it directly to the fixture. A bit of gorilla tape around the wire and fixture for support, job done :flushed:

Well Iā€™m sure that works, but Iā€™ll probably rig up something a bit sturdier.

I actually use the walmart brands as they perform just the same as other brands. There is a thread on another forum deciated to silā€™s nd everyone showing there results most using walmarts brand with nice yields. This is how i came across rhe lights.

Tbf i do this to rig up a light socket.

I also secure to fixture and always use an undĆØrwriters knot.
