Scroggins a 6 month old caps mac 1 cut? Yea or neigh

So my plans are instead of cutting this or one of the two down. I’m thinking of throwing it under a 600 watt hps after somewhat of a trim job and an uppot. It’s root bound in a 3 gallon container as of now. I’m going to put it in a 5. Is this adequate you think?, The plant itself is 6 months old. I also plan on putting up a Scroggins net or two depending on how it grows. It’s at 5 foot right now. The stretch isn’t a concern as I have the added 1ft of height. Please vote yes or no, and also comment on what could give this endeavor a boost. I plan on using mega crop 2 part and some cal mag throughout the flowering process… please tell me what you think. The mac 1 are the two on the left, one in front one behind. One drooped because of some watering issues I was having.

i dont regret it. it was fun and a simple solution to a similar situation. although mine was just 3 months i believe.

Very nice looking, looks like you carried out a heavy defoliation. Did you 24 hour it or 12/12 it to bring back the bush?

it filled out in the stretch fase of flowering. it was just a matter of nip and tuck here and there. it does become a bit of pain to maintain and cut would-be-larf but all in all it was a good solution.

sounds solid.

Awesome thanks for the information @the_bot appreciate it much. I think it will do good, it would be 10 foot if I hadn’t been cutting them down this whole damn time. I take a foot and a half off every 2.5 weeks.

7-10 gallon at that size she’ll eat it up. I had an e pupil I did this with took whole 4x4scrogged filled whole thing but you will lose some of the donkey colas in exchange for a million smaller colas most likely. Go for it. I think the one pupil came out 11oz dry.

Awesome thanks!. I’ll be throwing her in my 8x4 for the Scroggins. Only plan on using half of it for now.

I read somebody on here cut out the bottom of the pot. Then they loosen the root and set on top of a five gallon of soil. That ought to give you eight gallons of soil.

The bigger plants use more room, but produce more buds. I’ve grown large plants in Rubbermaid roughnecks, 68 liters.

I’d up pot to a 7 or 10 gallon. Give her a good defoliation and net that sucker. Trim her up good like maybe one or two nodes from the top. Give her a week to acclimate then flip. My two pennies.

Cut the bottom out of the pot… Put it on/in a ten and watch that lady go… Should give you lots of smaller buds and a few mega buds.
Whatever happens it will be fun…
