What else is required beyond assigning gifter/recipient, sending the recipient info to the gifter, and tracking confirmations of gift receipt?

Couldnt it be shortened to making a list of participants (checking it twice, lol) and randomly pairing up folks. Each pair would be like a trade, not so secret though.

In a December 2023 post, @nefrella said she was not going to run it again in 2024.
There was another post saying cutoff date for sending was December 15th.
I’d say open a wiki. Each person on the wiki must send their mailing info to the coordinator immediately upon adding name to the wiki. Keep wiki open until the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Close wiki on Sunday November 24th 2024.
Assign gifter/recipient using randomized method. @Hashpants I see your comment above. I would not make it a mutual exchange. Each gifter would receive from someone who was not their recipient IMHO.
Gifts must be confirmed sent with tracking no later than December 15th 2024.
Recipients report receipt to coordinator.
Coordinator should track everything on a spreadsheet.
