says you
Says common sense.
I tend to wait for the tail to get longer. Never had one fail.
You know, the longer I am on this forum the more I appreciate folks that can get their point across without talking down to others.
There’s almost always a way of saying something without being rude or trying to beat someone down with what you perceive to be the best way possible. But when you find a better way, then the advice changes and you’re again sure that the new thing you found is the best and only way it should be done.
That’s a strange concept to understand. Why try to be obnoxious to get a point across? People are strange in my eyes.
I won’t even eat my favorite food if it’s shoved down my throat.
Just saying.
You have to be really careful not to damage the radicle. Damaging the root hairs is another issue too, Better safe than sorry.
Just dropped 2 Nirvana Maui Wowie in a jigger of water. Will sow tomorrow if they have sunk. Seedlngs growing under my new (fabulous) Viparspectra KS5000 are growing like weeds, now on their 2nd day of 18/6. They’ve been sitting in a rather cold and dreary greenhouse for over a week. Room is now set up and rockin’ it. Frickin’ blinding on 50%! My painted reflective panels are over the top with an LRV at 94.4. (Light Reflecting Value).
For the younger crowd, just wrote this to a member here. I doubt if any of you have grown out pure Mex: If you have, chime in.
"Also included are some really old, (should be pure) sativa Mexican stock that comes from a dealer/friend who collected seeds from the best pot he sold/smoked back in the day. We lived not far from the border and smoked some really good Mex compared to the crap you guys up north got. A lot was psychedelic, trippy yet smooth on the body if you took about 4 good hits off a corncob pipe. Mel Frank once said “Mexican can be some of the best pot you can grow”. I grew some in the backyard when I lived in ******** around the late 90’s behind a 2 meter high privacy fence. High was great - uplifting, clear, happy. Mex grows into a Xmas tree shape. Finished in Nov.
Point being that this Mex was grown in Michoacan or Oaxaca before they bastardized it with a bunch of indica or hybrid stuff later. I hope they pop. They should as they’ve been under careful cold storage.
Good luck"
When I give advice I always back it up with botanical common sense as opposed to just putting it out there. If you have found any “hype” in what I’ve written feel free to say so. I’ll explain, give you the time of the day. At the end of the day it’s your garden, do what you want.
This is the kind of vigor I achieve “my way”. This experiment has been published, and a few times stolen, all over the internet. Enjoy.
"Here’s a closeup of a rootball showing an extremely fibrous rootmass after I shook off as much (fairly dry) soil as possible. The mass is very dense with no spin-out indicated at all. Fibrous mass stretched about a foot long when held up. Large white root in the middle looks like the original taproot. Again, the importance, for vigor’s sake anyway, of starting a seed in a deep, tall pot… as reflected in my germination archive. "
Am repeating soon but using MicroKote instead of Griffin’s copper.
Don’t hear what I am not saying @OldUncleBen . You seem very knowledgeable. Your advice may be the best method I could ever try. I acknowledge that. Crap man, I’m still wet behind the ears when it comes to all of this stuff. I just started growing a couple of years ago and although I have had a modicum of success, I claim no crown for what little I know.
My point was that you came in swinging with your first comment. Then you brooked no argument to your vastly superior knowledge.
I don’t care how right a person may be, I tend to not listen to abrasive people.
That’s all I was saying. Impart your wisdom, by all means and thank you for that, but if it were me I would realize that even honey tastes bad when you add enough bitterness.
I love common sense gurus. Maybe they should learn common courtesy.
Yeah man, you were pretty darn lucky. Some funny shit going on there.
Lmfao!!! Man those faces bring back alot of memories… the world has gotten soft for sure… I miss the old days… you had respect and so did others… because if not you’d get your ass beat… nowadays… too much untouchableness … repercussions are too drastic… shame… I believe in justice… just not what the mainstream thinks justice is today lol
