There were 2 strange things today caused by the ISP, so you never know. When it comes to better data visualization, that is in the future possible. It was a complete code rewrite based on the database, so you have also different priorities during development.

I suggest turning on email notifications from Overgrow. If you’ve marked this topic as “watching,” you’ll get notified about any updates.
Not everyone wants to deal with email.
It’s easier for our users to reply here, and I’m sure you’ll get some great feedback!
BTW You can even respond to any suggestions via email directly without logging to the site.

Thanks for hopping on OG and responding. I must admit, I like the old look better with regards to the lineage / Genealogy but I suppose it’s just what I am used to. Love the site, it’s a great resource. Tried to register so I could comment but it tossed up an error. When I tried a second time it said my name was already taken. Just an FYI @christian_seedfinder .

When I go back to the site it says thanks for logging in and to check my verification email. I did not get one, checked spam, if I click resend it, the site errors out again. This is a pretty huge overhaul of their site so there are bound to be some glitches. I am sure they will get it all worked out.

When I tried to use the “forgot password”, I got error 500 too.

Holy crap the family tree is terrible now on my iPad! I can’t even see it without zooming way in.
Bummer. I hope they make some modifications to the layout of the family tree.
To be fair, I do like the overall look of the new site and some of the features. But that family tree needs work. It’s not bad for strains with only a few parents, but for strains with a longer family tree it’s incredibly difficult for me to read.

I second that. I am not old at all but i really enjoyed the old site. Something about the nostalgia about what the what the web used to be. Also the functionality and the love for detail where really great.
I know that i would be more work to maintain, but i really think that its worth it.

We pass from something weird but functional and with an identity, to a “another one” that lost all ergonomic and its best practical parts. But it’s the fear of the novelty that blindfold me.
That’s not changes, but butchery lets be frank. I don’t even understand why we are now forced to use a beta suddenly … i mean, i feel like in a pre-prod server lol

Maybe with the old API, it’s possible to create a “revival” fork. Less useless gadgets than the old, more focus on the pedigree listing.
Now, i just want to say that the first iteration of this is from OG and is the legendary strain list ^^ Facing the amount of homemade crosses with something … just saying ^^

I hope the new owner listens to us and tries to make it better. It’s the classic thing that’s too good so someone comes along and tries to make it better. That usually ruins what everyone likes about the thing in the first place!
