SLH Seed Run! (Closed)

Hey bud, sorry if I missed it but how long did you veg them?

I started them Oct 20, so vegged These, my Sour Diesel and my Transkei x Durban Poison for 3.5 months (15 weeks).
I would have flipped the Sour Diesel probably a month sooner if I didn’t have that one light in my second tent crap out. I wasn’t planning on running the SLH and I have a ton of head room in my flower room, I like bigger plants.

Now I have an excess of lights, I should probably set up another snack space

I like big plants too!! Looks like things are about to get exciting!

Nice, coming along great. I am still contemplating topping my taller 3 for fear they will outgrow the space when I flip. I would like to keep some distance between them and the light. Supercropping will block out others, lol.

It’s always a space issue :joy: a lot of time I think I can manage, then right before your eyes. Poof. Ya got a jungle goin on :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The male looks like it’s getting pretty dense clusters formations

I plan to do a sour bubble x slh in the future. Was thinking about sourcing the Franco cut.

What are these genetics? Greenhouse originals?

We are thinking Ethos, but can not 100% confirm

I wonder how it compares to the ghs version.

Ethos was saying that the genetics could have all been a lie. But who knows. Mad confusing lol.

Just a fyi. If someone has pollen of the slh. I can pollinate a branch or two or my SLH x jack herer if someone wanted

Send this man some pollen

I’ll see what I can collect this weekend. I’ve never actually collected pollen, but I watched dougdawson do it with his ppp.

Do I have to sift and dry? Can I just cut off a branch and dry it and ship the dried branch that’s loaded with pollen sacs? That sounds way easier to me

If it’s the f6’s I made they are ethos. There’s a back story of Collin talking with greenhouse and they told him it wasn’t actually ssh in their line it was jack herrer x lemon skunk so that’s what ethos did and took it to f5

You could cut off a branch and stick it in a brown paper bag for a few days, then take it out, fold and tape the bag, put it in an envelope and send it. :+1:

Then the recipient can just shake the bag over the desired plant or hang it over the branch to be pollinated and shake it.

Even just placing a cut in a cup of water and lay some wax paper underneath. Or someone used a cupcake cup haha. Lots of ways to collect.

I sifted, dried, then vacuum packed (food bag sealer) and refrigerated.
Now I have what’s left of the refrigerated envelops in the freezer for long term testing.

Cheers

I lay down a piece of tinfoil as long as the plant is tall, use a thin hand towel to cover the soil, tip him over and shake onto the tinfoil. Then I transfer that to a smaller tinfoil made dish in Tupperware that has a good layer of silica beads in the bottom. Once dry I sift it through a tea strainer and then into little amber vials I have with a foam seal in the lid and some baked rice. I have a thermos in the deep freeze with more silica in it that I keep the vials in. In the future I’m going to do little single use packets because I have noticed degradation over the last few runs from being thawed and refrozen multiple times.

Edit: I also spray mist water all over where I shook the plant and the surrounding area to help grab any pollen that may be lingering. Don’t need that getting near the tent. You may also want to wear a mask, the pollen can be irritating to some and over time you may develope allergies.
