People have had success by NOT logging in at all. Just go right to the Shipping, then Donation section.

Jeez come on people. Accept it is what it is and move on.
Credit card vendors that would process this are super expensive and will cancel an account on a whim. Same with PayPal etc. high risk of funds being locked up.
PO Box is another expense and a super pain. Visits to the box and now depositing and tracking who paid and manually typing addresses instead of just a list from online.
If you don’t like it ok…we get it. Don’t try and shift your inconvenience and what you feel is high risk from you on to the volunteers who are doing this. They said they were looking into options…leave it at that and stop botching.

Just paid. It’s wierd because the phone number said optional but when I went to pay it said at the top it was needed to continue. Either way, I’m glad this is all coming together and that I get to be a part of the process! Thanks to all contributers and helpers as well

And people are trying to offer options. Some of them are bad. This is called brainstorming. Sorry if you don’t like that the process is messy, but telling the 55% of the users involved who have issues with using a checking account to just shut up and go away isn’t helpful. It’s just “botching.” Let the organizers tell people to stop, if they actually want to stop people from brainstorming on ideas that can help with the process. Otherwise, I don’t see how you’re part of this.

It’s not brainstorming when people keep suggesting the same things over and over after they have been told the reason why credit cards and cash and po boxes are a no go.
Also I apologize for my autocorrect changing “bitching” to “botching” (spelling always wins the argument I guess)
Basically lay off and let them do their work.
I mean really…it takes 5 min to open a free online checking account. Link to a diff primary checking account…wait a couple days for the verification deposits (if acct is with a diff bank). Verify. Transfer over enough cash for your echeck, do echeck…never use or close the account (or save if you think you are doing a risky purchase in the future. This is if you think echecks are more dangerous than real checks.
Yes it’s a tiny bit of work but it saves the distributors a ton of work and fees. These people are volunteers.
