A bit over due but, there’s been progress and advancement pertaining to this mail jam up. Before getting into any details I would like something to be known. A week back, at the local post office for other business and inquired with the canada-post staff member, about what was the best (both safest and cheapest) way to send a greeting card sized letter, possibly oversized thickness, to the USA. Before replying with any information, BOTH workers there go OMG WE HAVE HAD SOOO MUCH TROUBLES WITH THE BOARDER AND CLEARING THOSE TYPE PACKAGES, and go on to say, THERE HAS BEEN AN INSANE AMOUNT OF RETURNED LETTERS OVER THE PAST MONTHS. they went on to explain its canada-post trying to milk every single red MF cent out of postage, ontop of increasing overall stamp costs lately, and explained how if its x size, and “feels” like more than a paper, or some docuements, they want more postage and have started rejecting a large number of “stiffer card type letters” with “insufficient postage”.
That being known, this is absolutely a case of horrible timing of events (outside of topicalwave, or anyone else control), a shoddy postal system at best, and grubby government squeezing the average citizen (yet again).
Now the information
As stated before the seed packets are safe, and Topicalwave and I have been back and forth with communications coming up with a suitable a solution. There’s a plan in place and its rolling and is being acted upon. Below is a series of events that will happen to make sure each and every generous member who donated to the Brain Tumour Foundation gets their package.
Meet with topicalwave and take possession of the lot of packages
I WILL Contact members one by one for the various following reasons :
PLS DONT STRART MESSAGING ME
- verify shipping details
- verify lots contents
- allow members to choose a regular un-tracked mail (with proper postage for the constraints) or small tracked packet option (no charge)
- give the option for a refund on your lot bid total if you feel wronged or that’s best solution, we can hash out details of that further in PM if that’s the route we go
- get any other particular details pertaining to the package
verify details and prep packages
filter packages out through various postal outlets, interacting with the teller each time to verify proper details and postage for the size/ weight
contact memebers when the trip from post office is complete , provide tracking nbr if applicable
notes ive got the bid table from the top of this thread compiled into an organized member - lot # matchup list, the order of which i reach out will be just top to bottom , first bidder on the table & appropriate lots , to the last, not alphabetical.
if members deicide to send me messages prior to my reach out, you will not get a reply until your name comes across the list, im not bouncing around , top to bottom start to finish thats how itll be

A successful meet up and exchange happened over the weekend, with the amount of canada post stickers on the packages I cannot see any shipping details, each envelope will be cut open in order to verify whos is whos, the proper contents and will need fresh shipping details for every memeber.
Will be starting to message members late tonight or early tomorrow and go out periodically, as to not cast too many lines at once, and avoid any overload/flooding of info/messages here.

Im sorry everyone again. I never intended this debacle.I have been barely treading water mentally these last few months… The loss of my friend to cancer this December hit me harder than I realized. As this event was raining money for brain cancer in her honour, I started avoiding it after running into issues with Canada Post. Classic ADHD shit. It became a monster that gave me anxiety just thinking about it, as it was intrinsically connected to the death of one of the closest people in my life and I felt immense guilt about it. So I checked out for a bit.
I gave @Cannasseur my entire seed collection I have collected over the years and told him to pass extras on top of the freebies I had already packed up, as well as some help with shipping and packaging and few other goodies for him.
I’m probably gonna take a break from OG for a bit. Just need focus on the simple things in life right now. If I don’t answer a PM that’s why. I’ll be back though.
Again @Cannasseur is a true OG, he is such a great dude for doing this. Shit like this is what makes OG unique.

Shit happens to us all @TopicalWave so I am sure everyone understands. Things like this auction can quickly turn into a mountain that one is just unable to think about climbing but you are here and all will get sorted so good on you for that. Just take care of yourself brother. OG will be here when you decide to come back.

Few messages went out, strayed slightly from the initial on paper system, still top to bottom start to finish how ever its a “bit random” as i found it easier to just grab a package (from the top of the stack) check contents against bid list deduce what memeber it belonged to and contact from there.
Better catch some shut eye for the evening.
