The ongoing indoor grow

Just re-potted the Fog Dog into her growing container. She looks much better after a day in a grow tent with good lights.

Put the main tent back together last night, as I was doing that I changed how I had my lights rigged. Up until now I has been using coat hangars that I bent around to hold my light up high in the tent. But I wanted the light to be higher and the coat hangars could be improved on, so I re-did the entire way I had the lights mounted. I used string to create mounting points for my lights which worked out very well now I have my lights 3 inches from the top of the tent.

Last but not least all my 4 auto seeds have popped open and are in paper towels for a few days before they go into soil. Seeds are the following

Arachnid Pie
Widows Red Berry Cheesebake
Ghost Toof X Sugar Black Rose

Well it has been a week since my restart. The Fog Dog is doing fine and just like the last one is very easy to grow. Makes me wish I had more room to run another one just to reverse it for pollen and make more Fog Dog seeds. The four seeds I started last week all are doing well except for the Ghost Toof X Sugar Black Rose. That seed stalled out and died, so I started another one and it took. I place that seed into soil last night and is just breaking soil today.

Well I have good news/ bad news right now.
The good news is that the Fog Dog has shown its sex, so flowering is fixing to start soon. Also the other four autos I have are doing well. The Arachnid Pie so far is the best looking of the four and the Ghost Toof X Sugar Black Rose is the runt of the four since she started a week later.

That was the good news now for the bad news. Two weeks ago I had my apartment inspection and all went well and I figured that would be the end of inspections for some time, but I was wrong. At work tonight I got an email from my apartments front office informing me that I have a fire inspection either Tuesday or Wednesday. Never had one of these before so I am not sure what they will be looking for so guess what…I need to tear down my tents again. So wish I had a house of my own. :sob: Luckily all the plants are small enough for me to hide until this is over. I am hopeful mine will be Tuesday/today since my building is up front near the office.

Dayyum brother, you don’t seem to be able to catch a break. I hope that you have a great day, anyhow :v:t4:

I really can not complain too much. I went 2 years with no inspections, so I guess it is time to pay the piper.

My landlord never ended up coming back so I’m waiting for the text that he’s going to come back this week at some point. Maybe his plan was to just keep me on my toes.

Okay I am officially pissed. Last night I get an email stating the following. “A fire inspection is scheduled starting on Tuesday 3/29/-Wednesday 3/30/2022.
Please make sure to keep all pets secured from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.” So I tear down everything to be ready and when I got up not to long ago I found I got another email for the from office stating the following. “Please make sure your fire extinguisher is left outside of your front door, they will not be entering the units unless the fire extinguisher is not left outside.” WTF…time to put everything back together.

Well the small tent is back up and running with all the plants in there until I finish rebuilding the main tent. Would have had both up under normal circumstances but I have been dealing with a minor health issue as of late that just wears me out quickly. Hope to have it up and running later tonight or tomorrow.

Wow @darkillusion I feel for your upheaval w an apt situation. I grew when tents didn’t exist, except cabinet grows. So my closets weren’t dismantle ready. Luckily my partner and I had a landlord that only cared about the check. The unit wasn’t updated and that may be why she just left us alone, however maintenance IS a bigger issue, especially leaks above or below from other units that have to be checked. It was always a mad dash to get things shut off, so whatever area gets looked at and they go. Thankfully no leaks in closets, although having 30 gall res that busted would have been an unmitigated disaster. That had me nervous. After I stopped growing, out of everything, this could have been way no one could be prepared to deal w. Lightning struck the building, blowing out wires all the elevators. The whole building evacuated 10 mins after. IF I was growing, there wouldn’t have been any time to clean up per se. I would have had to leave it, and as I understand every unit was checked by FD. There isn’t a question in my mind Alexandria police would be waiting. For years I pushed it and I enjoyed getting away w it, but I knew it wouldn’t last. Be careful my friend, a fire is truly out of your control in a apt situation. I don’t know what kind of building you’re in my. Mine was a high rise. Anyway that event reminded me of unforeseen perils that apt/condo growing comes w. You have a lot of tenacity to put up w re-starts. I did that twice, sent off the clones to stewards and then got them back. You may want to think about an outdated unit to evade issues, out of town landlord situation. Just wanted to share some experiences there. Still you make it work quite well, and that’s commendable. Keep going strong, but maybe don’t stay in one spot too long

@OriginalDankmaster96 as much as I would love to rent a place that left me alone to do my growing, there is no such place to be found in central Florida. Any older property’s that are around are quickly bought up remodeled and sold for a huge profit. I am upset about how the office relayed the message about the fire inspection, all they are doing is a fire extinguisher check. They do this once a year and we just have to leave it outside for it to get a inspection check and a new sticker saying it is okay for use. As for moving to another apartment I would rather not. What I am paying right now is a deal, the area is great, and more importantly I am not living in Orlando. I am saving about $600 a month living where I am compared to living closer to work in Orlando.

Hey just reading your thread and I am just getting really excited about getting my own stuff in the mail and starting my first auto fem grow and also I am awaiting a very important testing product for @OriginalDankmaster96 but I think that you have an amazing grow and it’s very good reading thanks for sharing with us and I love free seeds…Beans are great but the depth of knowledge and camaraderie here at OG are worth so much more than any one seed…Happy spring growing The Doc

Yup, the housing mania has impact on growers too I see, and I should have known there’s few left, and yeah I get the deal on rent. That was part why we stayed in our unit, underpriced. Oh yes, I love how the associations arranges things like that. Never good on timing. Hopefully this is the last of it for you and you get back into the swing of things :+1:
