I’ve recently been experiencing ongoing skin issues out of nowhere, and I haven’t really changed anything about my life But, it kinda got me thinking, what if the things I’m eating or, in this case, drinking, are making my body “acidic”? Could this even mean anything??
So then I busted out the ol’ pH meter and started testing the things I drink the most. Let’s start with coffee, light on the sugar, medium amount of half n half:
I should also add, I also pH tested a shot of Rockstar Energy sugar free punch, and it tested at 3.6, but after testing the seltzer soda & realizing the effect of carbonation on pH reading, it’s not so shocking anymore.
I drink about 3 to 5 energy drinks a week, never more than 1/day, almost exclusively the sugar free ones now, occasionally opting for the full-sugar version. I’ve been doing this for YEARS though, so I have no reason to believe these are the root cause of my new skin issues, but, I can’t rule out that they’re at least part of the problem accumulatively, maybe?
