That’s pretty hypocritical of you. Interesting take. Nice to see you finally coming around the the benefit of a dislike button in the form of an elaborate emoji. The ability for other members to see which members agree or disagree with something at quick glance I think is more helpful than scrolling a thread to see a handful of dead horse emojis and then associating who left what. Many blessings and much love
I shouldnt be even posting in this thread as it’s counterproductive to the overall goal og OG as I see it. I love this site for the people who are here and helped me very much.
People will co sign bs just to “seem to have everyone on their side”. That’s where it gets out of hand. " Please don’t add a thumbs down. If you dont agree with something just let that person know. Seems like a dodgy way to not get whatever you have on your chest you need to get off.
I see toxic shyt a mile away. I let these freight trai s blow right past me. Back to posting and learning.
We are fighting due to there not being a disagree button
If there was a disagree button we wouldn’t be going back and forth we could have just used dislike button and moved on but instead we are drawn into a debate
So I am a hypocrite am I. For posting a gif to show that I feel repeating the some thing 50 or 60 times is pointless. Ok, now that we have sunk to that I will just go. You take care now.
This sort of person doesn’t know what they don’t know. It takes a long time and they can’t just be expected to figure it out in a timely fashion.
“Hey noob you stupid” is not what I want to see around here.”
Even if there was a thumbs down button, this discussion would still happen. Also, noone is fighting.
Im not disagreeing with anyone, nor am I being dismissive but I have lost all interest in this thread. Good day to you all.
I think its funny… that you guys think dropping a dislike … wont form some sort of response… as if you can just drop in … take a shit and leave…
Its useless… and childish…
And if there were thumbs down emojis…
Id be aggravated at trying to see who left them and then confront them all… likely without response… because the use of a quick emoji is to dismiss the other persons response immediately… as if their opinion doesnt matter… and the emoji dropping individuals does somehow
How can you fight with someone who leaves a dislike but doesn’t respond to you directly?
A dislike button is a way to share disagreement without fighting. Many see it as an attack on them personally, and it’s normal I guess. I don’t see it that way. Ego.
There have been instances in the past here on the forum where I have expressed my disagreement with something but to me that doesn’t mean I don’t like that member, just that I don’t like that particular comment. I will still like comments from the same members if they say something I find kind or particularly agreeable.
I should mention though that in at least two instances, members I have critiqued have made it a mission to feel personally offended and won’t let it go. They won’t dare like anything from me anymore and are nitpicky whenever possible. Some just can’t take criticism be it verbal or nonverbal. Many blessings and much love
@DougDawson you advocate for using words to disagree and not to be inciting with passive aggressive things like a dislike button. What is the dead horse emoji if not exactly that? How is that not being a hypocrite? Many blessings and much love
@Foreigner @Terpsnpurps they are taking it personal then , I disagreed with comment only , it’s actually helping
Sad truth: nobody really cares what you or I think. A like button is just a warm fuzzy that’s all.
Disapprove? Mute. Protecting noobs from bad information, well, I’d hope that if I say something they’d check my thread to see if I know what I’m talking about.
I may have pips but that doesn’t mean I know anything.
Cant be specified with just an emoji brother… its implications can be more widespread… like the laugh emoji… sometimes can be made sarcastically or taken as such…
In my eyes a dislike emoji is nothing short of lazy disagreement… and if you disagree… at least be decent enough to explain why
“Information is only as good as its source” is a quote I have lived by for years.
Disagree, there would be no commentary to respond to if only a dislike was left. Someone would just be replying into thin air. Many blessings and much love
Haha @JustANobody has a fat thumb.
Please press the dislike button (I guess this is a double dislike button)
Do I really need to explain it? Fine, I am expressing that I see no positive side to a dislike button. As an alternative, you can use your words. In this case, I used a gif, which sent a clear message. Something already available as long as I have been here. So no, not being hypocritical. That gif was very clear unlike a vague thumbs down.
@Terpsnpurps then do the same with the like emoji , have desentcy to explain why
I prefer to call them fluffy thumbs. It’s more accurate.
Hence why it is completely pointless
Your point is moot
