We need a laugh button
Thatās awesome man. We do need a laugh button. Damn, thatās good stuff.
If I counted correctly there 91 people in and 127 packs wow
Had to come.in from the wild for this show. These things pop like no other. Post 294 is me.
Welcome to OG!! Itās a good place here, with good people. Glad you joined us.
Tony what do you have in the pots, is that perilite?
@Tejas It is Gnat Nix something like diatomaceous earth , Powdered Glass kinda. I hear it works pretty well and I believe it is 100% organic.
Gnat nix. Gets about a 95% knockdown on fliers.
Heard it was discontinued but I found a bag. Concerns me how dusty it is to apply but settles good. Makes ya water gentle so it doesnāt wash away which is a good thing
Iām thinking a form of sandblast material is what it might be
Still a few flies from the bottomsā¦ overall decent stuff. Its baked glass.
@Hugh_Glass or thread moderator. Iām not sure if the buy is open to new members but I would like to purchase 2 packs.
left side is a couple TGTB Ril under 315.Gnatrol is another good option in case you run out of that or that isnāt working the way you need it to
It is open to all registered members. I will add you to the list, but in the future simply edit the first post and add your name.
I use the yellow sticky cards in seedling cabinet from filling containers till i move to veg tent, rarely do i need to move the cards over with them.
Lay them across containers sides and not just hang them above, seems to work so much better.
I know a guy in Hawaii who swears by laying dryer sheets in the same manner.
I guess the microlift bmc is the hot thing atm for the gnats. Got a bit from scamazon to try heh.
Pro tip! hah
Thats funny you say that about the yellow cards and laying across the containers. I noticed something similar when I hung mine from a branch above, but stuck it to the lip around the pot. The thing would just get covered with them compared to a free hanging sticky trap.
Good luck with the microlift bmcā¦ havenāt heard of it and just am personally on my 3rd application of Gnatrol here and it seems to be doing a good job.
Gnatrol is Bacillus Thuringiensis, also, and is much cheaper, but whatever works is good.
The microlift bmc is only 8% BTI and is ~$19 for 2 ounces on Amazon
Gnatrol is 40% BTI and is ~$20 for a quarter pound on eBay.
so it seems that Gnatrol gives you 10 times as much BTI as microlift bmc based on the price
Good to know!
Also, mosquito dunks only have 10.31% BTI, and are much more expensive when the active ingredients are compared by weight
the advantage to bits is there more time released, not saying there better.
whatever is at hand and whatever kills those gnats is what matters in the end. Dunks work just fine, I just donāt like paying for 89.69% inert ingredients, I can apply more Gnatrol as needed. it gives me something to do lol
