Top Dawg Sour Diesel bx3

Anyone can do the same, just a bit of extra veg time, pruning and training the plants.

Thanks very much! Been in the cure for a couple weeks now. Iā€™ll get a few pics of trimmed nugs and get a smoke report up shortly for sure, life has been crazy lately not much online time

So they are still curing. The humidity here is very high and affects everything when it comes to growing, drying and curing. I donā€™t mind it being slower with that always giving smoother smoke I find. So the pics are each plant individually starting with the plant on the left side plant #1 shot this plant had the smallest flowers. I have it curing with the another plant in the same tote just with a divider to keep them separate so there is lots of smells but nothing that can be pinned down by me specifically. I havenā€™t smoked any of this plant yet.

Plant #2 has the second biggest buds and was a good yielding plant. This is the only plant that have off any sour terps that I can smell definitively. After curing the smell has changed but not to a sour smell of any kind. This smokes incredibly smooth. It gave me anxiety the first few times smoking it but have smoked my way past the anxiety and now itā€™s a nice stoney daytime. I most likely wouldnā€™t smoke it before work due to the fact it affects my eyes more than most strains with glassiness and redness. The high is long lasting with some stupefying effects Iā€™ve found. Plant #3 was third from the left and the largest yielding plant. The nugs are absolutely gorgeous. Really frosty and of medium density. Gets me hella stoned. My favourite of all the plants in all categories by far. The nugs have potency, bag appeal, smells are kind of confusing to the senses so Iā€™ll post about the terps after another couple weeks of cure.
Plant #4 my least favourite fucking pain in the ass plant. Never happy variegated bitch. Poor to medium yield when compared to the others of medium size nugs. Smokes ok but everything about her is a PITA so she is the only one I decided not to run again with yield sucking and her being a bitch to grow no room for her again. Buds have little to no smell when taken out of the cure and im happy to have gotten rid of her before starting my run.
Iā€™ve started my second run with the three I wanted one more try at. I enjoy the smoke when Iā€™m not planning to do anything overly involved. The smoke from the three I tried are all smooth from start of a joint to the end. I like the bag appeal of the two middle plants the other two lack in a couple ways. I definitely would not recommend any newbie waste their time or resources on growing this strain with the level of difficulty it truly is. Super temperamental plants that require loads of nutrients and that has to be managed cause loads of nutrients can cause loads of issues if not managed in a proper way the entire time. JJā€™s flowering time is bang on imo with around 70 days should get them across the finish line unless u fuck up along the way slowing things down. I found they grew quickly in veg when given root space and a good environment I kept mine at 28c and 70 rh until the end of week 5 flowering then I dropped the rh to 55 and temps I couldnā€™t get below 26 at best and 28-29c at worst. I think with cooler temps the terps will be expressed more. Was a fun grow and thanks to all that followed along.

Looks awesome, exactly like Iā€™d expect sour to look, old school, green, hairy, greasy buds! I really appreciate your review here, as Iā€™m sure many will, everyone loves a good sour, you did a great job, I bet you absolutely kill it this time! Canā€™t wait to hear how it progresses, much respect brother :facepunch:t2:

Thank you very much! That would be a fun idea to reverse the one or both and hit them with each others pollen. Iā€™ll think about doing that and if I do it will be the first time reversing a plant. If I make that little project happen Iā€™ll be sure to send some of those beans made your way for the idea! The three Iā€™m running again are still in veg so it might actually happen.

Iā€™ve got you on the reversing spray as a couple awesome OGā€™s hooked me up

Great job. Your right about the cooler temperature. Itā€™ll give you denser, greasier, stinky buds. I never had sour come out properly in warm rooms

Thanks for following for the duration of the journal! Nice to have insight from others that are and have grown SD! I think my temps will be at least 4-5 degrees cooler so Iā€™m hopeful whatever I missed with them the first round Iā€™ll see it in the second run.
