Good morning fam. Feeling for all my brothers and sisters in California. A good friend also called not long ago . Lost his home. Lives in Shuswap lake in BC , took nothing but pets, 2 lockboxes and some personal stuffā€¦. Lost everything what a crazy time we are living in.

Good morning brotha :coffee:
Man, thatā€™s very tough and hard to imagine. Was it the wild fires this year?

Very hard to comprehend the vastness of Canada and amount of forest you guys have. It seems impossible to do control burns everywhere up there to keep the kindle on the forest ground floor at bay. Maybe itā€™s only able to be done around towns or cities to make a barrier/ fire breaks.

Yes this is exactly it.

It reminds me of the video about a community in Oregon that came together to protect their town.

Really Canada is so huge and thereā€™s no way ā€œunincorporated territory of X with 4000 square kilometresā€ has any fire breaks let alone the manpower to fight anything.

Itā€™s vast up here.

Thatā€™s awesome! I feel like this was my old community. Always helping each other, looking out etc. one time some guy was creeping my house and headed into the backyard. Maria (god rest her soul) was a woman I knew 25 years. Her husband said someone is going in Lucaā€™s yard (she called me Luca) She comes flying out old broom in hand, and shooed that bastard away it was comical. Another time kids were breaking into cars, my neighbor Terry saw the kids snooping, calls me. Just as I got up they were entering a neighbors SUV, he starts freaking out! ā€œCome on letā€™s get em!ā€ I book it out of bed in my boxers, didnā€™t even get shoes on, and were chasing 4 guys through the subdivision! Ended up like 6 blocks away in my boxers, middle of night lol, I bet we looked real weird walking home. They got away btw, and it took like 20 days for my feet to heal! Nothing like a good neighborhood/community
