good morning @ all!
No way @Hotrods_and_hounds ! Shit man, you could make a killing if you had a tractor trailer. At $50 a cord you could fill up and haul it to KC to sell for $180 - $200! That would be a bit of a money maker.
200-300$ here no joke
I remember cutting for $30 a cord back in the 70’s. Even in the 90’s it was only $55. That’s when I quit cutting for others. I had no idea that was what it’s going for now. I haven’t checked the prices in KC since last year. I’ll bet it’s up like it is around your neck of the woods.
That’s just crazy.
Damn, I never knew fire wood was getting that expensive. I may have to buy a little trailer. Some of the places out here will cut down the trees and let you take the wood long as you cut it down to manageable pieces and haul it off. The new littl place just piled all the wood and made a huge brush fire where they are goin to build a little restaurant.
Hell ya, when opportunity knocks right.
Wood is $300-350 this year. $100 more LAST year? Coastal Central Cal
Holy shit and that’s US! Absolutely insane
I hear some are burning feed corn cuz it’s cheaper than wood pellets and firewood
Might actually be a market for shitty weed. No triming. Ever. Seeds, no problem, except for the carpet. Press it ALL into Herb-O-Logs.
Crazy, and I have a feeling it’ll never get much better, only worse
Might be onto something! I know a bunch of growers who’s whole crap would fall under that category
Ppl look at me funny when I tell em I’ll have 2.8m set aside by the time I retire.
About the price of a loaf of bread in 2060
Haha yes! You’ll be set
There used to be a press attachment for the log splitters to press to make burning logs out of leaves that worked killer. Leaf logs would burn for awhile.
No kidding that’s pretty cool. Probably creosote city though, I’ve known a few people who make them from basically pulp, things burned forever! Something’s gotta change, how crazy is it that fossil fuels being as insanely high as they are are cheaper than WOOD. it’s a strange new world
It’s not that cold where I live, like some of you. No fireplace. 2 story house, so most heat goes up. Cold enough if you’re old. Got one wall heater for 1,600 sq ft.
On the back of the couch are 3 blankets. Sweaters and hoodies all over so I don’t have to look for one. Beanies too.
We do the same here, blankets all over, hoodies etc. we do have a gas fireplace so that’s a bonus and my cultivation room helps with the heat somewhat too
The people who buy 2 logs split into pieces and bagged for $12.99 at 7eleven…lol.
It’s crazy people buy those 10$ road side bags up in cottage country like crazy too! Always cracks me up
