TopShelfs trees (Part 3)

Haha I know right? It’s so messed up here! I sent @THCeed something two weeks ago! And he lives like 35-40 mins away, still not there. Yet at times stuff can go cross country in a single day. :man_facepalming:t2:

That reminds me not too long ago had a seed order go from Michigan down past me in FL all the way to Puerto Rico and back up to me 4 days late at least…

Bahaha Puerto Rico and back :man_facepalming:t2: but they are the best logistical operation on the planet …… lmao NOT!
I had one like that, came from Chicago, then went past me, way past to almost the edge of Canada by PEI. Then came back was a week late and they kept changing delivery dates every day until it arrived

Yup that’s what happens here at times, pretty scary but patience is key and that order I mentioned was priority shipping  not even just regular snail mail

I’m just getting there the last year or so, I used to freak out when stuff was late or misplaced etc. I’ve been much better, but I’m still semi anxious if it’s something valuable, rare or clones.

My texts notifications just say arriving late on way to next location once it’s 2 days late. Had one start 70 miles away took 10 days it hit Arizona and Florida but stopping back at original location 70 miles away before going back out in vaca.:rofl:🤦

To be fair, no post office is the best logistical organization in the world, that honor goes to the US Military.

Could you imagine how good the post office could be with a 700 billion dollar budget? Everything is same day mail up to 1000 lbs. :joy:

Is this a good pH meter?

I uses that one for a while but they aren’t very durable for a butterfingers like myself. The apera 20 lasted 1-2 drops and never read right after. I upgraded to bluelab and never looked back

Ya $50 is pushing it for me also I’m growing in soil for foreseeable future.

Love my bluelab just gotta keep it moist just a reminder if you haven’t had one before, and if you make the switch @420noob

it also needs be hydrated for 24 hours in that kcl solution you would use to keep it moist before it’s first use

Is it necessary in soil?

I would think it’s not necessary unless you feed synthetics many organic guys let the soil do the ph work in living organic style for example

but say in a soil mix that needs to be fed later after if it runs out of gas like fox farm or roots organic or similar pre made mixes a ph meter would be very helpful in those cases at least from my experiences

I’ve done promix with salts and never ph anything. I do remember microbial action helps maintain the correct ph

Looks like the PH20 doesn’t have a replaceable probe. That’s pretty much the only thing that fails unless you drop it in water. I have a PH60 and would recommend it, or at least a meter with a replaceable probe :+1:
I’ve had my ph60 for about ~9 months, same probe still rocking bi-monthly calibrations with little drift.

In soil you can use a soil probe. I use a Hanna medium ph meter whenever I’m curious about my medium ph but it honestly hardly gets used. Bluelab makes them as well Hanna is just a cheaper but well known brand

I personally upgraded to the bluelab guardian. I love the probes you can just drop in the water because i was always worried about that anyways. Problem is they are a good chunk of change. I paid $250 for mine but it’s worth every cent to me and I want to buy another one but now they cost $364 on sale for $330

@Emeraldgreen i don’t ph anything in soil either, i was always taught that’s the the dolomite line does, acts as a ph buffer. @420noob you getting a ph pen for soil?
