Trike's Grow Journey

Cool!. I had to search for Grotech and found a video of their Irrigation Kit. I didn’t know they made them.

So for the desert strains, I’m sticking with SIP planters. But I want to use 2 gallon buckets instead so I can get 8 in my 2x4 tent.

I saw this arrangement online somewhere, so I thought this summer I’ll test them on Happy Little Accident (@sprinklememaynee) and Tricycle ( @Budderton)..

Right on @TricycleOfDoom , cool set-up! Reminds me that I’ve got to ask for new 5 gallon buckets this Father’s day. Best of luck with your season!!

Up potted a pair of Happy Little Accident and Tricycle plants into the 2 gallon SIPs. I think the HPL found the bottom watered soil already. :rocket:

It’s been raining (lightly) here for days and got bored. So I decided to be continue organizing my seeds into vials and updating my spreadsheet. I’ve been on OG for 1 1/2 years and have accumulated 28 strains (373 seeds!) that are created by OG members. :star_struck: A mix of trades, “donations” to JP and out right gifts from some OG members. :green_heart:

Happy Little Accident on the left and Tricycle on the right, both looking well at day 6 of 12/12. I think Tricycle found the soil watered from the bottom and has really jumped in size the last 4 days.

Happy plants at day 12 from the flip to 12/12.

Up first is HPL (Happy Little Accident) from @sprinklememaynee . Shorter one of the left is male, so It will get chopped. Right one still looking female.

Next is Tricycle from @Budderton. Both still appear to be female. I should know for sure in another week or so.

Thanks for dropping by. :canada: :green_heart:

@Budderton One of the Tricycle looks to have both male and female parts. I’m going out of town next week, so I’ll chop it soon.

I probably did something to stress these plants. For example, switching from a 5 gallon SIP to a 2 gallon, I noticed the soil has absorbed more water than I expected. So the plants have looked over watered since I last watered them a week ago and the container hasn’t lightened up yet.

The other one is a week younger but appears to be starting some male parts.

Could also have been a random power outage when I was out of town a couple of weeks ago. Just had one in the last hour. Got my plant out of the tent and in sunlight in about 45 seconds. :upside_down_face:

Well shit! Unless you have had huge light leaks or prolonged interruptions in the light schedule, it’s probably the seed. Those old school og kushes are a sexually undependable lot to begin with and sometimes when you reintroduce the y back into S seeds, the resulting progeny can be prone to inter sex issues, even though none presented in the parent stock. I have seen it go both ways. The subject is worthy of it’s own thread.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I’ve got a bunch of those beans started and was considering using the Tricycle as a pollen donor but will defer to the Glitter Trike, as it’s run clean so far.
I apologize for your waste of time and resources. When I was selecting parents I saw zero inter sex traits. Not even a late nanner. This both surprised and encouraged me have confidence in them. I’ll run out the Tricycles I have started and try and get things figured out. Thank you for testing those out for everyone and again, sincerest apologies.

Even if this is a seed issue, your generosity and kindness is what I’ll always remember.

Season 2 - Episode 1…

From the left:
4x Malana Cream x Mazar-I-Sharif by @Abukeif
3x Blueberry Hashplant F2 by @Cannaology
1x Quick Kush (hemp hybrid) Cheyenne Mountain Seeds co.
1x Dream6 @Tracker

Seeds soaked for 24 hours then directly into the peat pods. All sprouted after 48 hours (yesterday). Half have tap roots coming out the bottom already, so I better get them into containers.

Dream 6

Cheers! :canada: :beers:

Day 7
Most are doing well. Two of the four Malana Cream x Mazar-I-Sharif smaller and bit wrinkley.

And decided to germinate more beans, three Kush 4 x SSDD and six Abacus high CBD hemp.

Using an online VPD calculator, I took manual measurements and got to the sweet spot by adjusting the light and fan settings. Leaf temp was done with an Ink bird Infrared Thermometer.

I also have an AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro that I’ve been slowly figuring out. Apparently Leaf offset is really important when the online chart says .55 VPD and the AC gear says 1.50 VPD (without the leaf offset in use). All good now.
