Trike's Grow Journey

Brutal. Sorry for your loss, bro. It happens…looks like too many to pluck, so I assume you’re going to end their lives, eh?

Yep, they’re bagged and binned already.

It is cheaper. There variety of amendments kind of overwhelmed me. Wasn’t sure what I could benefit from until reading @Tappy grow diary when he mention silica for his plants.

I considered going out of town for that bag (forgot the name) from Home Hardware, decided grab this instead. I like Black Swallow’s soil, when I wasn’t overwatering it

Have you tried any of their other amendments? I may see if what they have for roots that will work in coco.

Starshine F2 and Zamaldelica, in the Hempy coffee containers at day 9. Syrians in cups, at day 18.

Syrians seem to be prioritizing roots over above growth.

Starshine F2 and Zamaldelica at day 15.

Syrians at day 22. I tried bottom feeding a small amount and their roots liked. I think above ground jumped in size as well.

But are they ready to up-pot? I don’t want to try if the upper half of have minimal roots. Thoughts?

They have this leaning palm tree stem that seems to be correcting finally. Last week I tried adding a support but the stem under the soil seemed very wobbly, so I left it alone.

They look a little dry. Maybe one more wet and dry cycle and then transplant…but you should be okay to do so now. Especially if they’ve lost their vigor…a transplant always does wonders.
Are you putting them into 2 liters? If so, you have some wiggle room and can plant them a little deeper and fill bottle with soil.

Best of luck with those Syrians and others! Can’t wait to see!

Thanks @Tappy

These Syrians will be going into 1 gal. fabric pots, since they apparently benefits from dry periods. I think hempy style takes longer to dry out. Will do one more cycle like you suggested.

Be careful when the plants are a bit older and bigger…you might be watering twice a day with those fabric pots. But the plants love them!!

Do you have a link to those Syrian seeds? Are they the big ‘pop bottle cola’ types?

Tonight I up-potted the two Syrians into 1 gal fabric bags with Kis Organic Soil from Black Swallow.

Some issue on the lowest leafs on one of them. Could it be just running out of nuts in the Solo cups after 3 weeks?

Otherwise the seem to be surging in a miniature sort of way.

Moved the two Syrians in to my smaller dp-40 tent, which I plan to use for veg/seedlings. They seem happy in their new pots, growing taller and a little wider already.

The two new seedlings, in the foreground, are Harlequin (5:2)’s for a seed increase.

The larger tent is now at 12/12 for the Starshine and Zamaldelica.

It’s kind of an unusual pattern, almost looks like something wet caused it. They’re chugging along though, probably nothing to worry about.

I found them to be pretty slow to get going, and mine never got too tall.

Thanks @lefthandseeds. Good to hear that it is not a typical pattern. I suspected I may have stunted them with some overwatering.

With all your experience growing these strains, I’m really happy your here :green_heart:

As an it engineer II i relate to this. I support all the linux/unix/ubuntu/rhel/solaris/hp-ux hosts for a very large enterprise. I used to be on the critical incident management team as well it can get sticky.

Hope it all goes amazing and get well soon!

It kind of looks like the sides of the fabric pot were wet, and the leaves were resting up against them.
