I see where youre coming from. I love my Malawi killer and could never find another Malawi like her. Now i only got three 1ft x 1ft x 2ft boxes and I Wonder If im ever going to get a decent sativa in there. Would have to go 12/12 from seed in solo cups or something to control the stretch… I got 6 S1 seeds from my Malawi killer but as you know, they will never represent the real thing and the mother was over 3 meter tall so its not even worth poping those seeds with my current setup… Do you know of any trippy genetics that have less stretch. Personaly i dont think it exist. Ive tried stuff like bangi haze and it doesnt come close to the effect im after, clean, trippy, racey, disorienting high. No munchies or couchlock!

You sound like you’re surprised by this.

You’ve been making unfalsifiable claims for the whole time I’ve been signed up for the forum that you have the Holy Grail seed line and refusing to offer proof, just pre-emptive attacks against anyone who doesn’t believe you. :man_shrugging: Maybe you do, maybe you don’t, but if you want people to believe you the burden of proof is on you. If you don’t care whether they believe you, why are you bothering to tell people about it?

…i just asked for a generic description…“Nympho is from some mexican beans a friend brought back from vaca” …dont need the pedigree…just wanted to not be some blind schmuck like the rest in here looking at each other and saying “…wtf is Nympho”

gonna have to agree with this. His posts feel like copy. You know when a person can talk on and on and on without really saying anything that they’re either a salesman, or a politician  Watch your backs around that one folks, and for the love of god people don’t offer to pay $50 a bean to strangers :joy:

This has been a great thread……:sunglasses:

Hey…

I mean the guy has a thread showing everything, his pure line and many crosses… it’s not like the plants he talks about doesn’t exist lol

Then he mentions he made the nympho from available genetics, and years of trials. I think it’s only fair if he wants to keep the lineage to himself, sensi star anyone? Calio?

There’s stuff I’m playing with, I wouldn’t tell what it’s made of…

He could just lie about what’s in it, how he did it, like countless glorified pollen chuckers, and no1 would have a clue…

Instead he straight up tell you - no.

I mean, I’ve had herb exactly like what @Blu-Tri is talking about and it didn’t come from anything modern.

idk personally if he’s got it or not, doesn’t matter to me, but it exists. or at least it did(I haven’t seen anything like it in decades) and he’s not wrong with his descriptions either.

Want line to be more potent? Simple answer is, only breed it to things that are more potent than it. If you can’t do that, breed it to something similar in potency, cross the best offspring and then search through those for your transgressive segregators. The extremes. Gotta smoke em to find out. Numbers from a gas chromatographer won’t tell you everything. Rinse repeat, backcross, whatever.

It can get way more complicated than that with multiple gene copies and functional/non-functional cbd genes, but you won’t know until you’re knee-deep in it or can get dna tested.

A lot of the greatest strains are a mystery…. Quite a few

Brothers I have heard it all and as previously stated I’m not interested in anyone else’s thoughts about what what to do with my find.
As you can tell, it doesn’t bother me to keep sitting on it.
We are talking about potency… that which I feel that I know enough about to share with the community. I’m not here to discuss anything about my Nympho besides the level that she smoke
But there is nothing I can tell you to do that will make your plants more potent. Genetics. Remember that. It’s genetics… either you have or you don’t
Stop wasting post space critiquing everything someone says trying to find something to argue about.
Everyone in here knows that not a single person in here will give something like this away. No body so stop all that kids on the playground shit. You ain’t been playing with me anyway. So no loss to me at all. Peace.

“Oh sorry we’ve already got one.”

It sounds like a nice creation but why not share? I mean, not with me, but sharing is caring.

You don’t want breeders stealing your work. I get that.

I’m not really potency focused but that’s my way.

Thank you @HolyAngel
You want believe how many time I have been told that by older smokers.
Brother it takes everything that you describe to do this. Especially without access to testing.
I only use modern genetics to crosses with while keeping my Nympho lines pure.
Yeah I been wanting to pass someone here something special. But what’s to keep them from saying they don’t like it but at the same time be selling my work as their own. I choose not to put myself through that and wait until things get better in my state….where I can see some benefits. Instead of taking Pennies when i already got several jars filled with them.
Thank you too @Foreigner

Maybe I’m a little too FOSS for my own good, but I’ve never really understood this mindset :man_shrugging: If I grew something fire and it spread around everywhere I would be nothing short of ecstatic. If someone on IG reproduced my strain and sold the beans for $50 a pop I’d laugh, feel honored, and possibly offer some for free or at least much cheaper (while supplies last). But then again, maybe I’d feel differently after years and years of hard and delicate labor…well, I suppose I iust hope I wont go grinch by then lol

I think that’s more my style :grin::heart:

As someone who also looks at life with a more of a ‘caring is sharing’ attitude, I would like to say that I understand Blu-Tri’s reservations about sharing his creation with anyone. There are a million reasons to keep things to yourself, and I support you. As a young person who looks at the wisdom of older folks (especially growers) I’m glad to read threads like this where I can not only learn from people who have far more experience than I do, I’m also able to see the cutting edge side of things with the scientific reports and studies.

Many people have been unsatisfied with modern hybrids and ‘legal bud’. A smaller group yet have realized that in order to find these plants we have to breed and grow them ourselves.

I’d like to discuss the value of this Nympho. How do you put a value on priceless? Basically the ONLY way to know for sure is to start the bidding process. You have to offer it for sale somewhere, and see if you get any takers. If not there’s nothing to discuss here.

I do have a curious question though, @Blu-Tri. Have you decided on a value that you would sell “Nympho” at? The reason I ask is that it’s not really practical for any one person to make money off your strain. If we’re talking this person is part of a breeding seed company well that’s an entirely different situation. I understand anyone’s reasoning for not wanting to jump into that arena.

I feel like most people who want to buy seeds, just want to receive a plant which makes them feel good. The question of how much each seed buyer is willing to pay for that is a question that must be asked to each seed buyer. If we’re talking OG here, I’m sure there’s people here like myself who would go to the grave before sharing your genetics, if we were told not to.

The final note I wanted to add, is that there’s a ton of new people getting into growing. It’s in the betterment of all pot smokers if we (as one) come together and find these unique plants and explore them. If these plants die with their makers, the legacy won’t continue. Myself, I want the future weed to be better than what we have now. At least I will do my part to make things better for all. :v:

I had a question about @Mithridate’s post #539 of this thread. I hope it’s enough to warrant a double post, as they’re kind of about different ‘topics’ on this thread.

The post is basically about going from P1 and P2 (unrelated parents) to F2, and the best way to find recessive traits between them. Anyways I want to blend 2 mutants strains in this example (trying to learn the breeding principles here):

In the top set you have “Sebring’s example”??? Not sure since it’s quotes from quotes but I think that’s the general idea. Each block right would be the next filial generation, with F3 being the ideal blend between 2 different plant lines. In each block, on the left you have the female, in the middle is the male, and the progeny is the result on the right.

The bottom set would be a traditional outcross into line breeding. I believe this is the general consensus on mutant breeding in general since the leaf type is a recessive trait. It won’t show up in F1 crosses unless the F1s already have those genetics present in their genome.

Has anyone tried this or verified that it’s true? From the punnett square standpoint it makes sense but I just wonder if it’s possible to blend these two towards the BerryFreak plant.
BF:

DB: Clones:
I couldn’t show the breeding pictograph without showing a couple of the parents involved

One thing that occurred to me with Sebring’s version is that once you backcross to the parent that has the recessive trait you want, is that you kind of skew the whole cross towards the recessive trait plant, do you not? The BX1 would be 75% genetics from one parent only, with the 25% from the other P2. Once you breed away from the original P2 male, that part of the genetics isn’t reintroduced at any point.

Do we have any documentation on the differences in both methods of breeding or is this just punnett talk?
