I just bought some Chocolate Diesel #4 flower and it is amazing. I dont say that lightly. It is the best stuff i’ve had in about 6 or 7 years.

It cant be too far off. I know i’ll be growing these hella fast in the spring. I’ve grown Dirty hippy x Chocolate Trip but it wasnt stable.

Well looking up the lineage of chocolate trip it’s
(Indigo diamond x chocolate thai) x (chocolate thai x indigo diamond)
So they took two separate projects with reversed roles ID male x CT female and CT male x ID female, got the seeds and crossed the two f1s together and chocolate trip was born.
So what u had was likely missing the indigo diamond is all

I took 1 to 57 days (then it hermed) and it still gave me a very trippy, happy and creative sativa high. Literal waves of euphoria you can feel like LSD. It was bodhis chocolate trip experiments which didnt pan out well. he made his own f2 so these were probably f1 crosses but still with the indigo diamond.

This bud was very trippy as in it literally gave me waves of happiness. this feeling has only occured with me while on LSD. literally - body waves of happiness. I hope to explore this strain again. It was very strong but the tolerance builds quick as the trippy effects only happen usually on the first try and then with extended breaks. As everyday, it just goes to a happy VERY clear headed sativa which eventually comes down to the body slightly after an hour or so (but not always). It is also a very creative strain as the ideas were flowing easily. No paranoia. Very potent also but just not what im used to."
They were rather sensitive to low temps. I had a hard time keeping temps high at that time.

If it was labeled choc trip then ya it should have ID. I was more referring to the choc d 4 u had.
I’m pretty sure my closet setup for the choc d run had light leaks, didn’t seem to bother the plants and didn’t see anything herm so that should bring many growers comfort at least lol
Noticed katsu has his f4 offered up for sale on his site. Says right in the description rip useful and he made those from the f3 stock useful last took it to. Just crazy the pricetag on em trying to turn a profit on a fallen buddies work

Katsu said he did an f1 pheno hunt 20 years ago of chocolate trip but doesnt take credit for this current iteration and also he got a pack along with bodhi at the same time (which makes sense) for $800-900. This comes directly from Katsu.

Hmm strange he don’t take credit cuz it was his cut that useful used.
That pretty interesting though. Just absolutely insane those seed prices were a thing and ppl paid em, especially doing runs and seeing seed yields. Hand over fist I swear

He just basically was saying that because he did the initial search in F1’s that he hopes to bring out the same qualities in the F4 version. Yeah, That’s far too much money for any seeds. It better do my dishes or mow my lawn.

Well the f3 he just did the run with would have been the genetic diversity appearing to hone in on what he wanted, doesn’t sound like he did anything more than just the same as me as an open pollination and here’s the seeds 🤷 I’ve grown quite a bit of sour d in my days and those plants def leaned more towards choc trip in my Humble opinion

With that many seeds in the bud? Not a chance. It will end up in a hash bucket though. Judging off leaves and smells, didn’t really get that sour, sweet, fuel from the sour d shinng through and leaves were more indica leaning being fatter
