Weed Growers Inbention!

Im feelin like a genius dis mornin how bout you?! I was thinkin’ about a plastic weed plant that is covered in sticky shit. Instead of yellow strips the bugs know not to go on them. Im bouta Inbent a plastic weed strip fake plant! O fuk yea! I also want to make a small vacuum that has a straw sized hole on long arm to suck up single flying bugs that know how to avoid smashig (maybe sombuddy already inbented dat). Bugs are smart and adapt.
Hab a great day OG lub ya

I use a vacuum to suck them out of the air when I shape or bang the pots. Then I drown the rest as best I can. It is almost like a real live video game guessing where they will come out from and which direction they take off in. Then you have to do the hand-eye coordination trying to pick them off.

How about 3M Adhesive on a big piece of cardboard and blow a fan at it it thru the plants but far enough where the leaves don’t hit the board then as you said bang the pots. O hell yes!

The spot on my wall that my tents exhaust fan blows to is just a sticky mess of dead fungus gnats

When the fungus gnats got outta control I used to take the vaccuum cleaner to them.
Works great. They tend to come with an extra narrow nozzle piece.
No need to reinvent the wheel.

Mind the leaves tho, ripped a few.

And no, they didn’t crawl back out afterwards like spiders, they get smashed into the filter.

2 inch layer of multi purpose sand on top, bottom water for 2-3 weeks( you can always push the sand to the side and top water when you need to) Keep your traps out and they’ll go away soon enough. Keep floor clean as well.

If you had them for several weeks I’d spray the soil with diluted hydrogen peroxide and water to kill any larva before you add sand.

sand works great, ive used aquarium rocks and perlite since i had them around the house and they worked great as well and they were easier to clean up after so it doesnt get mixed in my soil and i can reuse.

oh and i use the small tube on my dyson V8 to suck those evil bastards fromthe air around the plants. works pretty darn good

I’ve got a buddy that uses marble chips( def the fanciest of toppers) I bet they do make some really cool looking aquarium rocks as well. Put some RBG lights under them for added flare! haha

I actually mix sand into my soil along with perlite and a little bit of coco. Which I do use organic raised bed mix, Most people say it is too “thick” but with some extra aeration grit added to it, it makes the perfect cheap organic mix. Can fill up 10 gallon fabric pots for under 15 bucks per container(I’ve switched to 3 gallon fabric pots, 10 gallons with a 4+ foot plant and freshly watered was over 80lbs. sucks moving those around to trim/inspect haha)
