Hopefully you have some friends you can gift some to. Also, I think an easy coconut oil would be great. It’s nice on skin, could always use it for aches and pains. If I recall you just turned 50ish, so I know you’ve got them. lol

Funny you mention that… Dropped off an OZ to my “former” black market connection, the source of my Skywalker OG, and he got the answer as to why I haven’t called him lately… and gave a cousin of mine an OZ as well as some of Mr. S’s Auto seeds to try out… imagine his surprise when it was the first time I have seen him in 20+ years, but he epitomizes the look of “Jeff Spicoli” from FSARH, so I knew it wasn’t a waste…lol
Thanks for reminding me I broke the half-century mark…not sure how to take that actually… just kidding of course…lol and yes, a salve or cream would be a nice treat to lessen the aches and pains… future goals…
and Reiko’s RX1 does kick my butt a little bit…lol

Pretty certain I have come across my first herm, and not wholly unexpected considering I took a chance by trying an Unknown bag seed…
Finally got a chance to take a good look at them, and pretty much every Unknown is sprouting balls I am pretty sure… hopefully I caught it in time, and now I will have to take a good look at the one I have outdoors… time to hack it down I would think…

That’s definitely a herm. Is it just that one spot? If so pluck it off and see if the plant keeps throwing out male growth. I probably wouldn’t risk it anyway where it’s still so early. Good catch though too often people don’t see it until it’s way too late lol.

No, it’s basically on 8 out of the 10 I checked… in a few spots on each… didn’t bother checking last 2 as I felt there was no point… Just gonna toss them, as I knew being a bag seed there was the possibility it might herm… even though it’s crappy to happen, it’s good to experience it first hand in the sense that I hope I can identify it easier and quicker now… pretty sure I caught it in time, so I am sure the Skywalker and Mendo’s will be all right… time will tell…

For sure, it doesn’t always look like a sac sometimes you get nanners too but I’m sure you know this lol. And hard to tell from the pics but I’d say you should be okay. It’s when those male flowers dry up and open when it’s troublesome. Just be careful moving it around when you decide to bin it, one of my Durban crosses was knocked up by what I’m sure was me roughly removing a male a month ago that I was sure wasn’t even virile yet.

They are removed and I guess time will tell if they had a chance to do any damage…
Going to remove everything, and wipe it down good, then keep my fingers crossed… No use “crying over spilt milk”…lol
I know if any seeds do develop, they will be tossed in the garbage… no point in keeping a hermie trait around…

Ya it’s a piss off, but part of the game sadly. If you don’t care about getting seeds they can still produce some good weed, but the seeds they make will almost certainly all be herms too.
Autos look great, I’ve got a couple from Mr sparkle just starting and planning to sprout some Reiko ones very shortly too.

No worries, really… It was my last bag seed that I had, gave me a bit of an education, and was looking good for a little bit… Glad I caught it when I did, and can now move forward, as it is no longer “Unknown” to me…
And you are kee- rect, I have plenty of other seeds and strains to play with thanks to the generosity of the OG Community, yourself included, so it is not a total loss…
Looking forward to my next attempt at a proper SoG, with more stable strains, but will deal with what’s left for now, modify it where I can, and learn from it…

FWIW @George, my hermies developed in the span of 3-4 days from my last check, so I think I caught them early and disposed of them in time… but it took about 3 weeks to show total, from being switched to flower till then, and never showed any indication during vegging…
Still have to check on outdoor plant of same lineage, but chances are I will yank it tonight regardless, as I would not want to jeopardize anyone else growing outdoors in my area, with stray pollen if I can avoid it…
