What are the differences in LEDs and HID lights?

what makes them a fire hazard.

Bulbs have been known to overheat shatter or get something on them explode and spray grow area with hot shattered bulb glass and throw sparks and ignite fires in some Extreme cases.Note how I said Extreme cases.Don’t shoot the messenger please and thank you much.

The only HID light I’m considering at this point are CMH and they have a double jacketed bulb

Yes, and I’ve been able to pull just short of 3kg. From 10 autos in my 8x4 using 400w led for the first half and 800w the second half. Cheap Amazon lights. Nearly 1 kg. In a 2x4 using 200w led.

Many of the less expensive ones do, and all my lights have Samsung diodes and mean we’ll drivers. I honestly think anything more is superfluous when it comes to cannabis.

Just wanted to comment that if those ef-2000’s are what they say they are and last those are a pretty good deal for sure.

I have no complaints, I’m running one of their older versions, and have been for 3 years now. And now I have one of the newer ones with the ir and uva.

Wont go into ir or UV rabbit hole, but for lm301b even lower bins, xlg meanwell drivers and the heatsink and board setup :+1: would be hard to even go the diy route for near the same price

Which is what drew me to them in the first place, I recommend for sure!

Leds are getting better every year.I was going to go all out and get a greensunshine Co light and they were complete Assholes about thier customer service.I paid them and they never sent me my light never updated me never returned calls for 2 months and messed up my indoor grow time.I went and bought a HyphotonFlux light and I couldn’t be happier. Some of the cheaper lights will surprise you.I’m using a Sonlipo 1200 I just got and it’s awesome. It even comes with a sunrise sunset function built into the light one switch that’s it.No need to buy a 300 to 900$ controller to do it.Light cost me 89 bucks working good so far

I very much doubt this. Maybe wet weight lol.

Yeah that was my first, second AND third thought as well.

Calling 555-BULLSHIT.

Best I’ve ever done is a pound in a 2x4 using 300w and an insanely high yielding strain.

The older magnetic ballasts are prone to shorting out or getting so hot that they can easily ignite in saying that you can buy digital ballasts now that are more reliable and safer due to running at considerably lower operating temperatures

It’s leds all the way here.

Doubt all you want…

I just pulled almost 600g dry from an amnesia (not including what I pulled from her clones) from one plant that wasn’t even staked and was just lollipopped and super cropped. I also pulled 700g+ from one of my first grows with 3 plants of WW that I screwed up and pissed off along the way. Lastly, I pulled over 1 lb. From 4 different plants, three being in my 8x4. I see absolutely zero reason I couldn’t pulled close to an elbow per plant with two plants. They’d have to be trained extensively, but fit two plants that doesn’t take much.

I do doubt that, immensely.

I find those that doubt for no good reason are insecure :man_shrugging: I don’t have anything to prove to you, I was just trying to be helpful to others in this thread.

I’ve got another hotline for you… 1-800-trollanon

Are you weighing larf and trim too lol?

Nothing about any of those pictures say 200w LED = 1000g of dried trimmed high quality bud in a 2x4 tent.

I get a lot of people fudge their numbers a bit but man that’s just not believable.
