I grew up on the south and will get hated oni can not stand collards or mustard greens…people say well then you havent had the cooked right…let me tell ya’ll I’m not a prejudice person at all but i have tried them cooked by every “mammie” I knew and grew up around cooked every way from sunday and o just do not like them…

Thats where my FIL fell in love with the shit. My wife likes the stuff also.
I was also never a fan but I do miss me some grits and sweet tea… that and fresh seafood but thats not really a south thing so much as it was a walking distance to the ocean thing

I’m pretty burnt on boiled clams. We would pick buckets full and my mom would boil or simmer them or some thing. I hated when I got one full of sand. Baaaaaah

For me I think Lima beans would be top of the list. My dad used to tell me I’m sitting at the dinner table till I ate mine. I’d fucking sleep there before I ate em.
