Hey guys I’m in the first week and a half of flower I forgot to plug my light out and it automatically turned back on after a 6 hour dark period not 12 I usually plug the whole light out cause the light on the timer anyways it came back on for about 2 hours I just noticed it and plugged it out what should I do now I usually have it on from midnight to 12 pm should I let I turn back on at 12am or should I keep it of til tomorrow at midnight which would leave them in the dark for over 24 hours
Extended darkness will not impede the plants (OK, you lost a day).
Just keep them dark until the light should be coming back on and you will be fine.

get back on you schedule and move on it is all good
^^^^^^^^^^^^^, that’s about all you can say other than don’t worry about it.
I had issues with finding light out or on when they shouldn’t. It was my new double outlet timer. It was newer and the most expensive one I had. But in the trash it went.
Sometimes all the extra features and specific programs just get in the way and over complicates things. Sure it can all me made easier to do with an app, but it’s a light timer, some things just need the K.I.S.S. approach
I just use the cheap mechanical Home De-Pot ones. Haven’t failed me yet.
I have had a fancier hydro store one crap out on me though.
@Seamonkey84 KISS is the best rule. Grab a high amp quality mechanical timer for lights and be done with it.
Fancy digital ones are great for pumps , fans and the like, but I’ve had issues with using them with lights too. Simple is best.
Same here. The digital timers are nice and fancy and last a few years. The mechanical last forever.
And no dim LED during lights out on mechanical timers eithet
I only use the K.I.S.S. ones. Mine that are 25 years old still work but sadly only two wire and all the lights are three.
Being a nosy mechanical type, I open them up and check the guts. Most nowadays are using some sort of standard micro-switch.
Hint, check the specs on the marked on switch, it might be different than the external label. If you find they are using bendy brass strips for the contacts… get rid of it.
I got rid of my digital timers, too many problems with power glitches zapping the programming. Analog all it way Baby!

That would have been fun. It went out in the trash and hauled a few hours ago. Oh well, next time.
