I have 6 moms indoors that are in 5 gal fabric pots coco/perlite. How should I treat them so they’re not shocked when exposed to the temporary temperature of being in a trailer or trunk for a 15 hour drive? I was thinking remove them from the pots and wrap the roots in a plastic bag with moistened coco and wrap the veg in a black bag. What do you guys think? Midwest relocation btw.
I would watch how wet your media is wet gets cold quicker than dry
only 15 hours
maybe wrap the plant with brown paper like they do plants from the florist
than bubble wrap or insulation
to help keep warm a blanket
just ideas
all the best and good luck

So long as the temps don’t drop below 0 and they have some light with them for the trip they should be ok.
Could try and use heat packs.
A friend of mine is into exotic reptiles. When they ship in the winter they add heat packs to the boxes to keep the animals alive.
See the link below, they are reasonably priced.
Didn’t think about adding heat packs. TY!
Good ideas…thanks for the feedback.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
Thx… will do.
Brother, I threw my entire grow in the back of a uhaul I bought to move with, drove several states away to a place I had never even stepped foot into, and got for a steal…and they did just great👍 I did nothing special for them.
Cannabis is amazingly resilient.
As long as the temperature does not go much below freezing for too long.
Zero worries.
They will be fine.
I used to move a lot of large non cannabis plants to events, often in unpredictable or cold weather. I would make a version of florist wrap for these using a large square if cotton sheet.
If one cuts the right sized hole in the material, it will really snug up of the pot. A hole is not really needed, though.
Pulling the edges up to meet in the middle draws foliage and stems together and up.
Paper can be use used the same way, especially if one can find some about 3 ft wide.
Plants and pots that are not water heavy can then be lifted and carried with two hand at the top of the sheet or paper. It does help to preserve heat, protect from cold, nasty blasts of wind. Plants wrapped thusly and pushed together a bit can all help keep each other comfortable.
