Here is mine a little bit delayed, but here she is inwill have to see the picas and see if im at the right moment tow work her out
So… when is it considered done training and ready to flower?
The Durban Poison is being trained with garden tape, garden wire and binder clips. Other than the slow pace, it is coming along. I have three nodes after the first topping, waiting on one more. I accidently let the coco dry out, so the leaves got a little funky. Otherwise they are getting Megacrop twice a day right now.
From my understanding once you have your eight(or less if you broke some branches) colas established you let them grow a few nodes then flip. I was thinking about four nodes, I ought to flower it by the winter solstice at this pace!
Ah, yea I was thinking 3-4 nodes on the growing tips would be a good point.
Plants 3 and 4 (was the runt) getting their nodes trained now, plant 1 and 2 haven’t developed as fast.

I know this doesn’t qualify for the challenge, but I’m having a mini panic attack here
Did I do this right?
Basically just left 4 budsights (nodes) on each side.
I would think that as long as you have your 8 main tops when you flip is up to you
Results are judged on what, final weight? Overall look?
IMO, build the manifold you’re happy with, flip when you’re ready to and then submit your final results for judging
Just my 2 cents though
Rem x rcb
Silver OG x rcb
Trying to remember where I gotta go from here(gonna check the pic for reference but I’m a little slow sometimes/often)
After you top at three nodes (which you did) leave the first and third nodes on each side and remove the second nodes
Well I’m going to wait for 3 or 4 nodes, and make sure they’re well fed before flipping. I may even collect some pollen from a male… just because these are orange goji, and making seeds is in the future.
Wait for your growth tip to stretch out a bit more so you can accurately remove it, your at your third node already. Once you do it, remove that second set of nodes. That’s the one with the set of leaves facing the wrong way. One is pointing straight up, other is down. The ones that are parallel to the ground you keep.
@nefrella looks like you started the manifold on a more mature plant, the nodes are already alternating instead of even pairs lol. Yea that basically looks right
@Seamonkey84 yep, they were pretty mature plants, but since my flower tent is packed for another 2 weeks, figured why not learn a new technique.
I was wondering why the nodes were alternated. Hehe, thx for the confirmation that I didn’t totally blow it, im always a spaz with a new technique
New to me too, like a lot of things that came up in the last 12 or so years lol.
Also, since you’re plant is so mature, those nodes will grow like crazy hehe.
So… I’m realizing I may have jumped in the deep end too fast… my bloom chamber is basically full and the lights are near full height. My 16oz plants look like they’ll be ready to flip in the next week or so…
I have been thinking about hanging cup holders on the wall. Hang a piece of wood from the support beams and adjust the height as needed. Thought that means the light will be hitting it more from the side. However, one of my plants in bloom isn’t looking too good, if she doesn’t make it, I’ll have some space
I hope all your bloomers make it.
Also having space issues. Lol
A practice plant. (The blue glove covers the obnoxiously bright dehuey display. 2 plants on the left are sharing a 3gal bucket. Doh)
that looks amazing!! sadly, i have yet to successfully do much with a solo cup grow, other than get it to where i can transplant it into something larger.
definitely jelly, heheehhe
wow, that’s a bummer. that was a beefy looking manifold!!
