Yeah you still have time… the males even when becoming really noticeable wont open their sacks for a couple weeks so i wouldnt stress it. You’ll catch them all in time
what he (Sunvalley) said - don’t kill that one until you are 100% sure
if those are balls let them get bigger to be sure
you only have 3 possibilities so…
So, what I’m looking for is a bump with 2 little hairs sticking out for girls right? I think I found a female Cackleberry
Yeah look for the little hairs, the same ones that you get 1000s of when the plant buds. Females are easy to ID.
Well,I’m looking at my fem plants for comparison. One I found a bump with hairs. Females seem less obvious to me for some reason. Anyway I’m sitting in the grass on the hunt
Tried zooming in on this pic of a female i took the other day. The girls have a more rain drop shape and the boys are more spade shaped to me at least if that helps any. I believe in you and ull get them in time you are my garden guru after all
So I see what appear to be little bud hairs on 5. So likely females so far are the mutant gdp, 2 Cackleberry and 2 UFS 18’s. 3 likely males are a gdp, orange goji and cackleberry. The other 4 are still unknown.
My experience has been females showing first for some reason, and males are what i want to eliminate(this time).
Doin the same thing here. Getting ants on me.
My plants all showed early and I’m fighting biting ants also I dusted diatomaceous earth around my grow bags slow acting but kills other crawling insects also .
Okay guys, all my whining and crying about my fearful pruning and not one of you tells me how absolutely easy and non terrifying supercropping is!!! Went out and pruned the 2 fems in pots. Decided to try supercropping on the Bruce (my practice plant). Twisting the branches and just cracking the inside was a cake walk. Took like 3 minutes and didn’t even snap a branch. I noticed that the 3 nodes that you leave alone when you prune won’t supercrop anyway, at least not at this stage as they are too pliable to twist them, but I did every branch on the plant up to that point. It was so easy, I said what the hell and did the OG Kush as well. Even went so far as to do one of the GDP’s that I’m 90% sure is female. I don’t think I will do any more this year as I want to see what happens to them now and how they perform before I make it a thing.
So far, of the regular seeds, I believe I have identified 6 females and 3 males. So far one female for each 4 strains. The Spectral Tangerines are still too small and not showing me anything along with one Cackleberry and one UFS that are being stubborn. Some of the plants I believe are female, seem almost obvious now to the visible eye where I can see pistols. It is possible that the pistols on the plants that are being slow had pistols that blew off in the wind right?? We’ve had unusual heavy winds this summer. Out of 3 males I have identified, they are almost obvious now too as some of the balls are on tiny little raised stems. I am assuming these would be eventual flower stems? Regardless, by weeks end they should be pretty pronounced and ready for the compost if they are.
I mispoke in the last post. The 2 unidentified plants are the UFS and Orange Goji. Took a look at the 4 plants in the ground. 3 are obviously females. The blue dream however doesn’t tell me yet. I am slightly worried about it, because it had that twin at birth. I’m assuming it’s possible that it could have been 2 different sexes even though it was a fem seed. Not sure. Time will tell.
You’ll get it @Meesh the easiest way for me is to almost start at the top then just look for a teardrop pre flower most everything else will be male. Males also look like a mini scepter
If ya can catch them at the right time it’s best check every day or every other day … gets difficult again when the hairs dry up too.
Great visual analogy on that!
If you can’t look real close to the inside of the internodes for sex wait a couple more weeks. I can see that one of your plants has a pistol sticking out the side indicating a female
Don’t get to worried they take a hell a lot of punishment did this 2 weeks or so ago took the top of the plant 3’ down To about 6 inches
brutality at its best! And here’s the end of the plant! My plants are showing rather early this season! Like @gramps has mention already
That plant has a unique color to it. What’s your feeding schedule
I use to break plants down like that when I use to guirella grow out in the open
Howre the stems smelling … id go 1 on structure
