2020 Cannabis with Meesh

So the 2 potted plants, Bruce and the Spectral Tangerine are drinking about 2.5 gallons of water every 2 days in their 10 gallon pots. Spectral Tangerine has become a stink factory in her own right this past week. She has a lovely tangy smell. 2nd stinkiest plant next to the Orange Goji. The rest seem to be pretty low odor unless you brush up on them. Bruce didn’t seem to green up much from the liquid fish. She is my practice plant so I don’t care too much, but she is in a pot, so it pains me in a weird way as she is dependent on me to give her what she needs. Maybe I’ll give her some epsoms before I break out the cal/mag again. Everything is scheduled in 3 weeks for the big calmag drench and it’s so much easier to figure out how to mix a big batch than a very small one. I don’t want to mess with her too much, but I want her to be happier, darn it. I am almost certain that it is a N deficiency. The liquid fish is nitrogen, but just 2-0-0 so it was minimal. Mostly to add humus to the soil. Do you think it would hurt her to have a large shot of veg nutes one last time while she is flowering? She has plenty of flower nutes, but obviously if she didn’t want any Nitrogen she wouldn’t be yellowing right?

I hate to say this, but I was tempted to hit her with a shot of the evil Miracle Gro just to green her up, but it would kill all the microbes she’s got right now in her organic mix. I admittedly feed my annual container flowers that are in Promix the evil chemical mix. Never in the ground or my perennials in pots. I just get bigger and steadier blooms in a short time on annuals with chemicals. Yes. I cheat on organics sometimes. lol

btw… been awhile since I needed to use epsoms. How much to 5 gallons of water should I use? Either that or I’ll just scratch a few Tbsps in as a topdress

I have one gripe about my sunny So Cal weather. While it’ll put the Grand in the Grand Daddy, it’ll never put the purple in her or the blue in the blue strains. sigh

Late afternoon commune amongst my plants. The gdp smells like grape soda and my best blue dream to date. Smelling heavily of blueberry. The Blue Gelato not so much. Cackleberry true to it’s name smelling of some tangy citrus and heavy berries. Cheese and Bruce kinda mild and earthy smelling. Orange Goji smells heavily of citrus and skunk to me. Specral tangerine just smells tangy at this moment but strong. I would describe the skunk but that would be redundant lol

This is what I’ve been waiting for, flowering in Meeshs garden means it’s time for me to start digging holes and prepping soil.

Looking great out in the back garden @Meesh :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey Pedro, getting the itch to go again already? It’s been really dry here so things went slow but looking good for a handful of things.

No wonder it feels so darn hot! Our humidity is at 78% right now. Like a swamp.

As usual, I was tripping over nothing. I’ve got some fans fading on a few plants. For some reason, I thought it was too early, but I’m remembering last year was the same. A whole year as passed so some things I remember and other’s I have forgotten. I should go dig through my 2019 thread and see what was happening at this time last year.

Hey Meesh

Not sure how much of a traditional grower you are, but have you ever made your own fem seed…Perhaps spray one lower branch of your Blue Dream… to create some feminized pollen sacks?

I can teach you how if you havent already…lots of online resources too…

Did some light defoliation on the plants. Just some inward facing fans and such. The cheesus christ however is just massive and overwhelming. I’d need to get out the ladder to mess with her. I did however stick my head under all the trellises and despite the bushy appearances, all of the plants are pretty clear on the inside and should have pretty good air flow, especially with our afternoon ocean breezes. Weekends like this however, with the extra high humidity make me worry about pm. Hopefully it drops back 10% or so after these tropical storm clouds from Mexico pass.

@MrToast Nope. No pollen chucking or seed making yet. Maybe next year. This year was devoted to honing my pruning skills. While not perfected, I am feeling much more confidant now on this as was my goal. I’m not sure I would test making seeds on a Blue Dream first though. It’s already a clone only strain and I’m here with a plant from seed. Too bad the covid hit this year, if it hadn’t I may have been able to meet up with @Heritagefarms for a cut of his og

So last night, because the Bruce is bothering me, I did a foliar of enthuse which is a High Brix organic micronute foliar. Sprayed all the plants. Nothing oily in it so I felt it was okay to spray while budding. A check today showed no change to the buds or pistils burning, so my foliar in bud was okay. Whew! lol Actually, I wasn’t worried, it’s just trace minerals. Nothing to make my bud taste like oily fish or anything. Plants seem happy today. Haven’t noticed much difference except a few of the plants had all their leaves sticking up after last night. They always seem to do that after an organic feed, like their hair got blown back in a good way.

At this point, I can literally see the buds growing on the daily. It usually gets to a point where I can’t tell anymore, then Dad comes by and freaks out and then I know they got bigger. lol I just keep thinking if the 2 blues are this fat now and they barely started, I’m in for some seriously bodacious buds!

btw… I double checked the deficiency chart. Bruce has either Nitrogen deficiency or Magnesium. The micronute foliar last night should clear it up if it’s Mag. If it’s Nitrogen, should I just say screw it at this point and carry on with flower nutes? Or should I dose one last time with Nitrogen? Anyone ready to chime in on this? @Tinytuttle said screw it. Anyone else have thoughts? Hello… Bueller… Bueller???

Screw it #2 ! Lol no N at this point

See here is where I wanna know why? My other plants that flower have green leaves and flowers at the same time, they get some N with their PK . lol It just seems too early for that much fade.

Science Dog Dammit! I want Science!
