Yeah, I have Jack Dead Bug as a back up also.
Though, I won’t use it unless things get drastic.
Ya know, cuz the bee’s.
I like using my Monterrey with spinosad. I haven’t seen any inactivity from any other bugs that it is suppose to kill. My ladybugs, predator spiders and bees are as active as ever in and around the gauntlet. I also use it at double strength. I don’t foliar with unless I see more than one bad bug.
Evidently garlic and cayenne pepper does pretty well controlling grasshoppers. I wonder if spraying the grass and fence would work to keep them away?
I certainly don’t want to be smoking garlic and cayenne, so can’t use that as a foliar, but may be worth a shot as a sort of perimeter
Scare me away If I was a bug.
Perhaps tomorrow I’ll do an experiment. I’ve got lots of ghost pepper that should work better than cayenne.
Terps are the plants natural pesticide and anti fungal defences I guess, oils like rosemary and thyme might be an option? Though idk if it would affect the smell and taste of the finished product. I have used neem oil for caterpillars up until about 4 weeks before harvest, but it’s not very selective and hammers everything.
MMMmm I haven’t made any brownies in a bit. I like to use the Ghirardelli Brownie mix and infuse in avocado oil. How did they come out. Flying.
I’m worried I’m less than a month out on IBG and 907. I may neem Panalawi yet, we’ve got lots of time on the clock there.
Interesting to think about more, but I mostly see the grasshoppers on Panalawi, which is the least odorous as it’s just getting to flowering. 907/IBG stink something fantastic, and I don’t see as much grasshopper damage on them.
I’m also going to try misting the grass with chile powder. Maybe some garlic. If it just keeps shit away I’ll be a happy camper.
@ColeLennon I’m ascending. I put 6 drops in the small pan, weighed how much came out of the bottle and did the dosage math from there. Made with butter rather than vegetable oil which makes them ridiculously rich.
Can’t wait for IBG brownies
This tincture is the shit. It’s so easy to add. I need a micro syringe and the sky is the limit. Why did it take me so long to do this? I need sativa tincture to drip into my Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal in the morning
Guess what’s probably going down tomorrow?
Cinnamon Toasted Crunch anyone?
That’s beautiful . Yes, but I didn’t get around to making any Hawaiian Snow oil on Monday.
Getting a handful of yellow leaves still on the IBG and Panalawi, plucking them off when I water in the evening. Sticky traps seem to just be getting small quantities of flies and gnat-type things. BT again tonight.
Kinda had a freakout last night discovering some white spots on a mini-cola of the IBG. Pure white, worried it was some sort of fungus, clipped the branch off only to discover a bird turd a few leaves down, white residue dripped on the leaves above it. LOL this is why I budwash.
It’s pretty out there
Have a great day guys/gals
I’m always plucking off fans covered in bird splat. Look at those monster colas’
You grew the Hawaiin Snow? How did yours turn out if so?
I did! Last season. Good but not as energetic as I was looking for in a “sativa,” which is why I’m diving deeper with the Panama x Malawi.
Not my favorite of the season, that title went to the Hella Jelly.
Damn that looks pretty good! They’re pretty frosty it looks like. I grew a plant in my tent and crossed it to a bunch of different males. I haven’t grown any out yet. That’s too bad it’s not very energetic…
It was really early compared to what I expected as well. It’s good weed no doubt, just left me wanting…more. May be all the landrace and haze threads filling my head with unrealistic expectations as well
I can’t go out and buy legit NLD from any dispensary, so I’m trying to grow my own experience, literally and figuratively. It is, entirely possible my expectations or hopes are unrealistic. But I’m giving it a shot, it’s rewarding even trying.
She was a beautiful tree but Panalawi is significantly larger this year. We’ll see how things turn out.
I’d like to try some Thai strains. I was listening to a podcast the other day and they were talking about how Thai bud is bred for the flowers and not hash. You know how Thai dishes are very flavorful so they can appreciate great smells and flavors and select for that. It sounds like Thai is a good choice to try and find tropical flavors which is right up my alley. I’ll have to try and grow some here in the next few years.
Your Panalawi is going to finish a monster for sure.
