As I always tell my wife, you can either have one spider or 100 other insects. They’re going to get in your house, at least spiders are pest control.

I do my best not to harm anything unless absolutely necessary. Nature created this beautiful place and all in it. All has a right to be. There are times things must be taken out but only if they pose a real threat. Well, that and for food purposes.

Lol, to be clear, I very, VERY much appreciate spiders, and watching them work is memorizing.
But as beautiful as I find nature, I do not find them to be particularly beautiful, they creep the hell out of me and make me sound like an 8 year old girl at a Taylor Swift concert, hahahahahah. But I absolutely appreciate the amazing colours - and the reason for those colours. It’s very cool to see, say a black Widow in a book, and then see the exact design on one in real life… But, it’s not something I, personally, actively admire 
I was told a stat when I was a kid… Probably something to make me think more kindly about spiders, but maybe not… If it weren’t for spiders eating bugs, we would be knee deep in dead insect bodies now. Lol

Loved the PODcast again @Heliosphear and the story at the end made me smile all evening - what a lovely image of a boy on a bike being escorted by 20 hogs.

As a kid when in Florida these things always hung out next to the prickly pear cactus and always made the purdiest webs!
