I’ll put her through the no support test this year. No help unless she falls over
Braver man than I. I would lose sleep in a rain/wind storm.
I’ve got mine in 2x2x2 boxes because I have to grow in a swamp. Wrapped the boxes with cage wire last year, and glad I did. My plants didn’t skip a beat thru 2 major storms, 1 a couple of weeks ago with 70+ mile an hour winds. Only lost 1 branch on the Pistachio, but it lost branches last year too. It’s the only plant that I’ve ever grown that will literally “spit” a branch it doesn’t like right off the main stalk.
I keep my fingers crossed and check the damage in the morning. Usually happens toward harvest time so you just chop worst case
I’ll make myself a nice grow set up once I get my own house. I rent where I’m at currently. Those boxes sound like a great idea
How’s the weather been in your neck of the woods?? Did you get hit by the wicked storms the last couple weeks??? We had a wicked 1 roll thru, didn’t hit the house too bad, but in town got tore the fuck up with 3 different micro bursts that turned into tornados across the river in Canuckada. Shop had power, but the stepson lives 3 blocks away and was without power for 4 days.
I can’t grow in the ground, because my back yard used to be a “duck pond” that they filled in and it stays wet all year round. The house, both neighbors, and the back 1 1/2 acres are all higher and dump back there, plus having 2 natural springs dumping water all year adds to it.
I’m on my 3rd season with the same ProMix, just top it off at the beginning when we transplant, and the plants don’t seem to mind one bit. I was a bit worried this year, but they have broke out and reaching 6ft, a couple are over 8 foot and climbing.
We squeezed through the storm unscathed. It blew real hard for about 5 minutes and then calmed right down. They really had us ready for a tornado. Blew the siren 5 times in town
We watched it rolling in, kept track of it on my weather radar, and could see it was moving fast, growing and getting wicked. When it hit us, it was in full blast mode. The wife and stepdaughter said it got bad at the house, but they didn’t see the brunt of it. In a matter of 7.5 miles, it doubled in intensity, and tore up a 15 mile swath north to south. Took out 150 yr old trees, uprooted some, and was a disaster area. At least they blew the siren for you folks. The only sirens we got were all the emergency vehicles trying to get to damage sites. I turned on my scanner, and it was 2 1/2 hrs of non stop radio traffic. Live wires downed, houses on fire because of fallen wires, giant trees down over roads, it was pretty intense.
My plants didn’t skip a beat, even thru 70mph winds. Glad yours made it, and you and the fam made it thru safe and sound!!!
I went through 5 hurricanes right after I moved to FL in 2001. Never seen anything like it being from Oregon. Wife and kid slept in the bathtub. I slept with my Mastiff and twin rotts. Shits no joke.
That sounds nuts. I would be so depressed to see nature and the buildings get taken out like that. Good to hear you made it through alright as well. Hopefully we have a nice calm late summer/ fall
I’d imagine it looks like a nightmare. I hate wind even when it’s 10mph. Can’t imagine 150 or more
Yep, nothing like 110 MPH winds in Monsoon rain to pucker your asshole for 12-14 hours. In FL 8 years. Do not miss it. They can have that shit.
Amnesia Haze x CDLC bulking up with one late flowering plant. Triple the size of the rest. @AzSeaindooin420
The seeded Hillbilly Skunk plants were chopped a couple days ago. They definitely had russet mites hanging around in there, little bastards.
I cleaned out the tent and put in all my new moms to veg for a bit. Still haven’t seen pollen from either S1 tent but hopefully soon. The recieving plants are about ready to be hit.
That’s awesome brother…
Now you get a face to put with my shabby grows! No more hiding I guess. Michigan has been legal for a loooonnggg while
Your just a baby. Babyface @ABushOfKush. You grow that beard so you can buy beer. Most of us here are dinosaurs. When did you start growing? You sure have the touch. Props.
