ABushOfKush's Cannabis Adventure - Michigan

That’s the way Michigan goes! Getting mid 30’s nights recently but I’m sure there will be some more warm weather in the season. I’m actually happy with quite a few of them. Finishing up quicker than I thought and very bulky flowers. Many are seeds I made last year so it’s interesting to smell how some of the offspring came out.

Does a hydrogen peroxide bud wash during harvest deal with this? At least kill the PM?

Magnificent looking buds!

Couldnt tell you! Never washed flowers before. I’ll try hydrogen peroxide and baking soda separately to see if either does anything. Otherwise I just got water hash bags so it could be a hashy harvest.

I wouldn’t smoke that first one… washed or not! WPM is in that bud even where you can’t see it. Smoking it is one of the worse things you can do! You don’t want that in your lungs. You CAN cook with it. The heat of cooking will kill the spores.

I wash all my outdoor bud regardless. But if you see WPM it is too late to really save it safely.
To prevent WPM pretreat throughout your growing cycle. I’m also in Michigan.

@ABushOfKush spray that whole area with sulfur after harvest and in the spring to eradicate that pm like @JoeCrowe recommends. And don’t bring anything in that you can’t verify if it’s clean. Nice crop by the way. Glad the weather turned around for us Michiganders this week.

Yah, make sure to finish off the mildew colony, so it won’t come back next year. One tablespoon of elemental sulfur (90% +) per liter of water spray that around where you grew the infested weed. If it’s indoors as well, finish that off, so it’s unable to spread from there.

Already bought my 4 lb bag of sulfur a month or so ago. Just waiting for all the plants to be down

Excellent!
I’m glad the mildew killing advice is spreading!

Involuntary frost resistance testing. Hardy plants, 6 hours of 34 farenheit and only the very tops are frosted up. If I can just get one more week out of them…

Wow! Boy, I’d hate to see that on my own plants, sorry you are seeing it on yours, but damn is it beautiful. I love the way the frost just amplifies the trichs. Thanks for posting it!

Doesn’t bother me any! They’ll be just fine. Cannabis can withstand heavy frost. Had it happen on a couple late girls last year and they were some of the best flower of the season!

I had a plant run into late November (Thanksgiving) last season, they were just bagseeds and didn’t get much attention. They were also the best of the bunch. Maybe there’s something to that. I don’t think they frosted over like that but it definately had to have been close a few of those mornings.

Everyone has been chopped. Been a busy couple weeks. Many of the smaller plants have already dried and I’ve been lazily trimming them up into jars. I like to jar slightly on the moist side and burp the jars more often. Keeps me from over-drying them and I’m always happy with the way they cure. I’m only trimming the big top flowers and have thrown a few bags of fresh lowers into the freezer to make hash soon. Honestly might just end up bucking a lot of the lowers into grocery bags and handing them out to friends. Trim-and-treat!

Looks like you did quite well too! I wish I preferred the wet trim so I could just harvest by the branch. I had quite the time hauling those shrubs up to my garage from the garden. Cut at the base with a handsaw and try to keep it from going TIMBER! Hug it around the base and swing it over your shoulder like santas big red bag. Then you better hope your high ass already made a spot ready by the time you get into the garage and try to flip and hang that beast while tip-toeing on a step ladder. Once they’re up it’s a beautiful sight.
