ABushOfKush's Cannabis Adventure - Michigan

That’s a full-fledged factory. Converting energy into cannabis flowers.
How many watts do you have on average per square meter?

Every run we will usually have changes to the varieties depending on what our flower storage looks like. We always have at least 1/3rd of the room Runtz. That’s the biggest seller. This run has Runtz, Sherbwalker, Hotlanta, and Zoy Sauce. The last one being all new plants from seed so we’ll see if anything great pops up out of those. Our other room is just finishing up Runtz, Sherbwalker, Black Maple, and Biscotti Chip. I actually took this today of the Runtz.

It’s all new hype varieties but we at least make sure the smoke is good. If it isn’t we don’t hesitate to toss it and move on.

The rooms have (45) 800 watt fixtures. So about 800W per square meter.

For me, it’s fun to grow different strains and at the same time try to improve the management of the plants, I avoid routines.

I have between 1100 and 1200 watts in my square meter, divided into two spaces, but this season I’m going to increase it because I’m only going to grow in a 0.72m2 tent

Coincidentally, I’m going to grow a Runtz strain this season, I don’t know it, let’s see how it turns out.

Dang thats a lot of light. We supplement C02 in the grow at about 1600ppm and still run into issues with light intensity when plants stretch too close. Lots of crazy foxtails and nutrient deficiencies that are hard to deal with. The highest tops will be eating the shit out of themselves while the lowest look perfect.

I don’t inject CO2, what I do is put a lot of fresh air into the tent, the maximum levels I reach are 400ppm.

I use the lights very close to the plants, and I also have some side lights to promote the growth of the lower parts.

What I have observed is that nutrient consumption increases in line with the light intensity.
As flowering progresses, I move the lights a little further away.

Have you thought about adding a homemade mushroom bag for C02? I’m lazy and dont have much time so I’ve been looking into some online but I’d imagine making them yourself can’t be too difficult. The one I’ve been looking at will grow the mycelium for 9-11 months giving off C02 and then it will fruit edible mushrooms. I mostly want it for the mushrooms.

I tried to make several CO2 generators with gelatin, sugar and yeast, they increased the concentration, but they contradicted the aeration of the culture tent and were not stable, I reached maximums of 700 ppm.

Got some photos of the garden this morning. It’s a shame the septoria is really rushing through everything. Some plants have pretty nice flowers so far and I’m wondering if they started soon enough to outrun the septoria. At least some of the tops please!

How is the greenhouse handling the septoria? I haven’t been seeing it as bad as last year or so it seems.

I still do not see septoria on the greenhouse plants. Unfortunately I am seeing the beginning of PM.

Would defoliating help mitigate septoria or is that worthless endeavor?

Dang, Hope you get to thru these final weeks without a total loss brotha. They look great still.

Also I wanted ask, At your work has any hazes been run or does that not work with the production schedule. Bet that room smells intoxicating! :yum:

Hope your having a great weekend brotha. :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:

I’d try a bud of the black maple if you’re offering . lol definitely looks tasty .

Personally I don’t think defoliating would help. I have done that in the past and I believe it just hastened the spread to untouched parts. I don’t know how to stop it so my thoughts are to let the plant hold on to as much leaf material it can before the septoria kills the leaves. As time goes on and the septoria spreads, the plant is able to utilize light less and less.

As far as hazes at work…heeeellllll no. I work for a weed bro and if it isn’t some seed junky shite or some other gelato or zkittles cross, it’s trash to him. I’m just happy that they’re still cannabis. And unfortunately it makes sense for what commercial cannabis businesses are here for. People want to buy the hype shit, so you must grow the hype shit.

Thanks for the insight on how septoria effects the plants. I thought lack of air flow was the cause or one of environmental conditions for septoria to thrive. Which is why I defoliating would be a mitigation.

Haha copy that!

I have a friend who is very loyal to archive, and another one is just starting to venture out from GPS. I have nothing against either but where I’m coming from is trying different experiences of smoke. I offered both anything from my vault to try in the next run but the first one wasn’t interested.

At least the other friend took a couple Toxic Truffle fems from Hammerhead to try out. He’s on the second grow of them with the TT. A graceful nudge in a different direction haha. The TT he grew was great so will get wet sooner than later.

I wonder how or if it would be viable to grow some haze and only offer them seasonally. One cycle for availability for the wintertime for anyone that gets the winter blues. In the future I hope the market demands sativa dom. hybrids or haze in general.

Funny side note I looked up our states producers strain list and I found TK is in the Sativa category, next to Wild Thai {ko chang}.

Just to be clear, my thoughts on septoria are just that. Thoughts. I do not know shiiiiit about it haha. It just makes sense to me that if a fungus is attacking the leaves and killing them off, I’d rather it have to work it’s way through the whoooole plant and maybe reach the tops by harvest. I think if I went on a deleafing spree it would kind of just jump to whatever is left. It seems to attack the fan leaves first and foremost, and doesn’t do much to the sugar leaves until it has eaten all of the fans.

On the topic of non-hype cannabis, I would love to see all of the wonderful variety we see here in OG grown in the facility. I’m absolutely sure we’d find plants that would kick the shit out of our current lineup. It feels like we’re pretty much just looking through one or two strains with the amount of variation we see. Everything is soooooo similar. Nitpicking phenos against each other.

Alright last day before harvest. Some quick flower shots. I think I might try setting up the tabletop studio at work to get quick high quality shots as we cut them down.

Runtz

Black Maple

Biscotti Chip

Sherbwalker

Back room is about 12 days into flower. Talked the boss into increasing the EC more than usual during stretch and the canopy is just insanely thick. Center of the room is still slightly hungry but the outer edge plants are close to overfertilization. Such is life with how uneven the lighting is. Center of the room is over double brightness of the edges and corners.

That black maple looks pretty.
Dense buds with little leaf.

Heavy dense flowers! Couldn’t stop admiring while we were cutting and hanging them today. That’s one from work that I’d love to get a clone of. Has a great menthol, licorice, funk smell to it. Nice and potent.

I’ll try to get a photo tomorrow of the harvest all hanging. It’s just walls of weed!
