I’m sure there is happy customers. But sometimes a breeder needs to let the seeds speak for themselfs and not overtake a whole thread that is not theirs, plus publicly muting other people who have other opinion while pushing your own gear. Atm, we have had two breeders doing this on OG, it’s @TomHill and @MAHAKALA… No one else does this… And we have a lot of breeders here posting pics, that’s not the issue. This is not the OG way of being a constructive part of the OG community, this is a way to push your own business and interests and I thought that if this was your goal with being a part of OG that you atleast is a active supporter and keep it in your own supporter thread.
They’re comin’ along nicely! Everything is filling out now. Didn’t have any Haze pollen on hand so I’ve hit some lower branches on a few of them with either @DougDawson 's Blue Kush pollen and/or @slain 's Thai x Vietnam Black. I can see seeds developing pretty well already! Keeping my fingers crossed - I would LOVE to put in a field of these!
Haa, haa, haa…pretty much everything shown here is from Da’ Kine-hearted Spirits at OG! You’re gonna find that this place is a wonderland filled with the greatest friends you could ever imagine and more seeds than you could ever grow!
What little seed I produce from the OG’er’s testers sent over to me generally gets passed out to some Thai growers who aren’t into the dispensary thing and had heard rumors of this BOG guy, or something like that!
I imagine if any of these crosses I’m trying to do come out well I’ll do some give-aways here and/or the Free-seeds-Free-clones thread. Keep an eye open!

Does Hempy sell seeds? I would prefer buying his Nevilles Haze genetics and authentic old Thai line all the time over Mahas incoherent marketing on his Colombian hybrids , that he calls Thai Haze, when they are only 1/8 Thai and 1/4 Haze.
It’s interesting that Hempy could sell 100% Thai and 3/4 Haze genetics, that are by far more authentic, more pure, more old, less degraded and use Maha marketing on glorifying Thai genetics to sell his seeds.
What we need is a Haze grow report where a non biased third party grows everyone’s version of Haze out together in a tropical environment. That is really the only way to compare what is what. And all this talk about what Nevil or Sam said is irrelevant to me because they didn’t create Haze. If you want accurate information then dig up some old stories from the Hayes Brothers.
Agreed! Let’s introduce some objectivity to this equation! That’s why I was asking Hempy to share / have somebody grow out one of his grail frankincense lines that throws 100% franky phenos. While we’re at it, should have Tom Hill Haze(posi), AG seed co, and all the other hazes raised in a tropical environment for comparison — how do we settle on the numbers for each line? what would allow for one to discern the diversity and quality? 100 of each is tricky, so what’s the magical #?
I nominate @Tlander - if he’s willing and able, he’s got an aptitude for this stuff, knows a bit more than the average hobbyist.
Looks real nice, they sure love the island sun my friend! Beautiful spot hope you don’t get too much rain the coming months but there’s low chance of not getting it right? Did you ever try the ”brown” thai on the north/west of the island? Just before the steep hill… just curious… lovely pics!
The problem with this model is its again a competition of who’s the best…but what is the best? It’s subjective of the consumer.
I think it would be so much cooler if everyone just grew what they have and like and show pictures and describe the aromas, flavours and highs how they see them.
For me, my best thus far has been a pheno of Golden Tiger x A5 Haze. It’s citrus and pine and leathery hard wood. The high is amazing, uppity and smooth. I go back to that jar continually over everything else I’ve currently got.
So we shouldn’t have any judging or competition of any kind? That’s not the way I feel at all. I think it stimulates creativity and inspires us to achieve something better next time. Beautiful nug by the way. That one might actually take the cup!
The only judging that should take place, I feel, is at my house, where people bring their own weed and throw it on the table and we smoke it all and have a nice round table discussion about it.
Competition is cool until it becomes an argument. At that point its frustrating. We can have differing opinions and that’s normal, but when it becomes a back and forth with quotes from back in the day and then countering quotes from same people, going in circles…at that point its like why?
My comments up above were in hopes we wouldn’t begin the arguing again but I kind of regret making them as it seems that stirred the pot some. For that I apologize.
