Had a question so here goes. When crossing haze with haze it was said no improvement. Improvement of what? How many plants does it take to get a keeper 5-10%? When crossing haze to an Afghan/Paki do you pick say the 5% haze keeper to cross with the Afghani or does it matter? Do the combos that make for a good haze work the same for a good Afghani x haze?
The problem with Skunkmans statements is they are too ambiguous and that’s what I am saying.
this is exactly the problem that has now caused all sorts of debate ,
since the information was somewhat unclear and not precise or even perhaps a little misleading,
this “no improvement” statement specifically ,
well if its already one of the strongest sativas , how are we going to improve on it ,
perhaps it doesnt even need improving ,
or is that speaking about vigor , or improving the % of “great” types over just “good” types ,
some of the above posts are clearly leaning towards misunderstanding some of sams statements , and taking them out of context , completely , and intentionally too i might add ,
but what he wrote left itself open to that sort of debate and those sorts of posts ,
it can be said they are made by people who are quite obtuse in nature , and have comprehension issues , and or are just plain shit stirrers …
When it was said that the hazes are not commercial, I say yes because we sell by weight and how can a 14+ variety with fluffy flowers compete? Do we with haze look for different parameters and push the quality vs weight?
Haze is probably not a good candidate for edibles thus it seems to be in a niche. I find this to be a valuable variable. Haze is hard to monetize so we get a blast of Walmart weed from the dispensaries instead of the organic Whole Foods Haze from the truly passionate growers. People with the resources will start to see this and demand quality. Knowing your plants potential and applying it to correct situations.
in time ,
now places like thailand are legal ,
maybe some perimeters will change ,
i know sam thought this also ,
when we take the cost of growing , and the space out of the equation ,
maybe types like haze etc will find at least a niche market if not become more popular ,
maybe a new generation will get to experience what some of us did as young people too ,
the joys of pure sativas grown outdoor in the tropics , which are both awesome , and also not expensive …
Why would you need to know/see what this person is or has grown when you say you are not into ”dick measuring”? This is a common theme when you feel attacked and ”rubbished” by others. You want to question if they grow, what they grow and how they grow rather than keeping the discussion on the topic at hand. Why - if you are against dick measuring - do you go around and measuring other people’s dicks but the second anyone tries to measure your dick you don’t want to have the discussion anymore. Yesterday I asked you how many pure haze plants have your grown or even smoked? You never answered but then less than 24 hours later you don’t want to talk about this incense thing with this guy anymore but you want to see proof of him growing. Double standards? You have done this to me many times when we had heated arguments regarding Thailand and Thai weed too. Instead of meeting the argument at hand you tried to say I hadn’t really spent any time in that country and I was too young to know anything. Don’t you see that this is the problem and the reason so many of us don’t particularly like you and most won’t take you seriously. It seems to me that you are only in this online cannabis community thing to tell everyone how long your dick is but you won’t ever let anyone measuring it all the while going around with that yard-stick telling everyone what tiny dicks they have. It works online but in real life people like you, going around measuring dicks like that, will get punched on the nose. Now I am not being aggressive here I am talking figuratively of course. I don’t particularly care about your dick and I sure don’t want to see it. I am just pointing out that your behavior is the reason you often get into these situations where you either cry for moderation to help you out or feel that need to put those you irritate on ignore.
Now show us some pictures of pure haze and tell us how you bred it and found out it is so pointless. If you haven’t maybe you should follow some of those that grow and breed it, those who smoke it and enjoy it, so that you might learn something.
And no - this isn’t about me. I am not claiming to be the ”haze whisperer” as I wouldn’t be so embarrassingly foolish to go around telling people what a haze master I am if I haven’t put the milage to the cause. I have smoked pure haze though and I have smoked and grown pure Thai but I am definitely still learning these more tropical cannabis types and thought I am not that young anymore I feel I still need more data, more samples, to even begin to start using definite terms and absolute arguments on the topic.
But incase you need to have my curriculum vitae. I am 45 years old and I spent almost a decade of my life in Southeast Asia. I speak Thai to a degree (almost no westerner will ever be fluent even knowing all the words) and my immediate family are both Thai nationals. If your maths abilities are not as poor as your comprehension ability you will do the simple counting and see that I was born at the end of the 70s so no I never smoked the ”real” Thai Sticks in Thailand in 1971. My cannabis life started in a place where it is still very illegal and I was lucky to travel around northern Europe in the 90s to places like Amsterdam and Christiania (Copenhagen, Denmark) where there was an actual cannabis community and lots of different high quality types of cannabis gathered. I got to walk down Pusher Street and smell the entirety of the hash rainbow from the darkest of Black Afghan, Nepalese temple balls, through the midrange colored Kashmir and some of that Lebanese, all the way down to the almost white ”pollen Moroccan” as it was called though we all know it wasn’t made from actual pollen. I got to smoke most of the creatively named hybrid varieties coming out of Holland like Haze, Skunk and Northern Lights. When I got there they still had imported flowers from some of those old classic regions like Southeast Asia with Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam as well as South and Central America, Africa etc. I got to walk down one street and see all these things. Smell them, touch them and buy the ones that tickled my fancy. It was very educational for an aspiring young stoner to to be able to smoke all these different types at the same time and really make my own mind up on what I liked best and how they differed from each other. It was this experience that made me realize that I had to start thinking about growing my own or I would forever be doomed to smoke the rather low quality, rock hard, Moroccan 5th grade imports that were prevalent on the streets of my home town. If I didn’t look to grow my own I wouldn’t be able to decide what I would be smoking myself but always in the mercy of the black market trends.
When me and people I knew started to look at growing our own we were young and low on resources which meant I knew I had to find indoor hybrid seeds that would work for me rather than trying to grow Thai or Cambodian. I had to make a tradeoff where I spent most of the time since trying to find indoor hybrids that would have enough of the type of effect that I really like to smoke. Haze hybrids have been one of those things I found really enjoyable and worth while in smaller indoor situations. I am not stuck in one box though as I would say I am a fan of cannabis and my goal has always been to try as many high quality types as I possibly can. I have enjoyed Afghani hash though it isn’t my favorite, I am much more inclined to smoke Nepalese hash if I can but that’s just me. Someone else might feel the total opposite. Same goes with indoor seed hybrids. Some like a certain type from a certain seed maker while others enjoy something on the other end of the spectrum from other seed makers. It’s like most things in life be it food or drinks or sports or whatever. We all have our own wants and needs and that is why this whole dick measuring contest is totally moot. Especially silly it becomes when some people try to put the dick of others between their own legs and try to fool people that look here what a huge elephant dick I have. Trying name drop all those famous people claiming to be their besets friend is just totally uninteresting as it’s their dicks not yours. I respect those that came before me and I respect those that stood up to be counted as it were but I don’t necessarily always have the same wants and needs as those people which led me to realize I can’t take anyone else’s ”best weed” into account as it may not be ”the best” to me.
incense sticks which is bandaid haze #7 x black vietnamese, two phenos
you can see NLhaze pheno and sativa pheno, most indoor growers would choose NLhaze pheno, it is quicker, and it doesn’t grow so big, so it is easy to manipulate with and overall more suitable if you grow in limited space. but true sativa lover would choose that sativa pheno…
bandaid haze is like 30% of NL, similar to nevilles haze, and I crossed with black vietnamese, so incense sticks are around of 15% NL and you see it still has its influence, when I would cross it again with pure sativa, that NLhaze pheno will be still there. so dominant NL is… so some tendency to eliminate it with outcrossing is useless imo…
but I am talking about the effect man. and that northern lights took down tropical quality of the original haze effect, if we are talking about exceptional phenotypes of it. and thats why it was crossed with haze again(nevilles haze), but still tropical qulaity was watered down, especially psychoactive clarity and complexity of the effect. so then it was crossed to mullumbimby madness or thai to get it… but that NL still took it down in most phenotypes, especially ceiling of the effect. because tropical quality of the effect means it is ceiling less…
in Europe there is popular amnesia(g13 x SSH). it is great tasting weed, but the effect doesn’t satisfy me. not even close to real haze. so that is the word on popularity.
frankies are lumbo dominant hazes… in my own preferences, incense haze is there, but first I would grab chocolate thai or citric thai haze over it, also fuely haze I rate higher than incense haze.
NL5haze cant be compare to original haze in effect. it is shorter lasting, with ceiling, less energetic and it has relaxing effect. real haze is electric, energetic and uplifting without limit… not relaxing. psychoactivity is at higher level. NL5haze is nice strong euphoric relaxing weed. mildly trippy at its best, mostly even not that… like I said I saw people falling down from chairs when they were smoking A5haze in Amsterdam… this will not happen to you with original haze, you will be running down the streets and raving whole night there LOL not sitting somewhere, staring to void and sipping your coffee… the whole different category of weed.
let make new hybrids which will be close to real haze high. NL5haze is not it. it is what it is… aghanhaze after all. let make it without norther lights. for enjoyment of all…
yes, I agree you have to use indica. but you dont have to use full blown indica hybrid like northern lights with opiate like effect, but something with more sativa in it. I did it and it works.
I dont like you put me on in same sentence with that person, I dont have anything common with that toxic person. and I have only one reaction to that toxic person on OG.
what I offer is toms haze hybrids. I am not only one who made toms haze hybrids, not the first one. toms haze is available via Tom Hill, so it is not something you cant have. and I have never said it is something what everybody wants…
multiple times I sad that there are people who will prefer lumbo haze aka piff. but that for me, and many others, including Tom Hill, thai haze line of original haze is superior to us as far as the effect goes. I cant help but to me it is better for trippy electric hot flushe over head effect. you grew it? or why do you think you know what you are talking about?
and I grew all those elite cuts. like it is documented in this thread.
and I started to sell it, not to get rich or something, but because people were contacting me and asking me for seeds and where to buy them… many many people. I dont know how many people contacted you for your gear?
and one other reason for selling was that when I donated over 1000 seeds of Nev haze x black vietnamese to one seedbank, it was before selling, and Hempy thought I was selling it, and his reaction was good motivation to decide to sell my seeds, thank you moron.
my gear was sold out in a month at both vendors. so be sure, and remember it that I dont need any marketing. I dont even have own packaging hahaha and they had to pack it for free for me LOL
it is easy to discredit my thoughts like that, that it is marketing. when you are thoughtless…
but thought is that thai dom line of original haze is more psychoactive that the one used in dutch hybrids. and that thought describes the fact.
and when we, me and Tom and others, put this information out. your marketing agents paid by seedbanks came with misinformation and bullshit that haze A is thai dom LOL and so people buy their NLhaze seeds to get thaihaze, and they can grow pile of it and will not find any. and that is their marketing.
they also tried to discredit A5 and C5 cuts from southern Holland, preserved by Bonk, as not real, while all their gear is based on same cuts LOL etc. and I can continue with other marketing misinformation(lies) spreading around…
everybody remember supposed to be “conflict” between greenhouse seeds and mr. nice seeds, about who had real parents of those strains and who not. but it was artificial conflict to increase sales.
so dont put me in same bag with these scums please. thank you.
I have never talked shit about doc d or ace seeds… I respect them… I will talk shit about watered down dutch haze. thats sure.
in the end when we know that Doc D and Mr. Nice are using same genetics, we can grow let say mango haze next to bandaid haze. and If I can say my opinion. Doc D made better work with same genetics. only Respect and no trash talk. thats why I use his bandaid haze and dont use anything from mr. nice. a period.
you are wrong. cuts are shared. and results too. you can look to my thread. many reports there. many people keep various keepers hahahah go cry elsewhere. what is your work with haze? zero, am I right? but you are able to produce shit talk, congrats.
in this thread you can read results from others and what Tom Hill thinks about my work for example:
let look at some report:
there are already cuts of it shared in Canada as well as in Arizona or New York State. and people even made crosses with it. so bad it needs marketing LOL hahahaha one seedbank in Canada is sending this freebie to customers: dante inferno x mindblower… so bad it is hahahahaha
about tropical boogie(which you can see in this thread and pics are not mine)
juicy woo grown by guy at long island, his wife said it is too edgy for her, but he liked it very much
and so on, and so on. only great results. your hate cant change anything on the fact that I spread LOVE. so bullshit about advertisement or marketing cant change that, and dont be envious silly.
hey @StickyBandit could you chime in and say what results you got with my gear? thank you bro.
I will present my work here, as well as others do… dont see any problem with it. if you dont like it, ignore it you silly. and everybody can see that people like it. they give me likes. just few haters dont like it. what I can do hahahaha
I can honestly say that Maha offered me seed stock from multiple selections before any seeds of his were for sale. There were already folks posting very positive looking results on ICMag. Really feel he’s passionate about the selections and direction he takes and so of course, he is proud of his work. I’ll provide honest assessment for the limited females I grow this year. Unfortunately they didn’t fit into last years grow schedule. Otherwise, I’d already have smoke opinions. I can say that those genetics are growing absolutely fantastically in my SoCal grove. Documenting flowers along the way for next few months. Yeah he and Hempy don’t get along. Lots like a bunch of other folks don’t see eye to eye either. Who cares. Grow lots of plants. Compare, dissect and disagree or agree. That’s all because at the end of day, it’s only truth with the flower and her effects.
Maha Kaha has been posting in haze and sativa threads for years, long before he sold seeds. He is an enthusiast of all things haze.
If breeders use these threads to show their wares I have no issue. It would be a dull thread without it. I mean Tom came in with “my haze is the greatest” claims, made his sales, and we haven’t seen him for a while. Yet you single out Maha?
Yes, this is so true and I’m getting very sick of it. He can’t do it at a good level and imo, if a breeder going to do this to this extent, they should AT LEAST sponsor the site.
Also, the bickering of others opinions/gear is so off putting and leaves a really bad after taste in your mouth. To be frank, it’s quite pathetic…
When I was looking for something different I was happy to find Maha’s offerings. Some of your points may be valid but I don’t see anyone else filling the void.
The Mindblower is a nice strong racey daily but didn’t last long with the family before it was gone
We’re into the sour apple pheno of the Chocolate Funk now after about 8 or 9 months cure and it’s a pretty special smoke. Pic taken just now
