Australian Black/Australian Purple

This demonstrates the deep colouration of this strain. Hopefully this season I’ll be able to get some pictures of this phenotype which shows this in its true glory, again, just a winter seed crop to score some beans. This is a subgroup of the Queensland sativa family.

It’s properly hallucinogenic tripping weed if done right!

Creeper haze, this strain can be a bit annoying. It’s like a creeper weed that never really finishes it just keeps growing like a string bean.

So that’s the main basic food groups of Australian weed. Anyone who has pics of true blue ocker strains feel free to post them in the thread. I know they can’t be considered ‘landraces’ but there are definitely some interesting varieties growing in the Land of Oz since hippies started going to Thailand!

You’ve got your daytime budz and your night-times. There’s a real variation between the grape smelling ones , the pine limes and the hashy/golden heads. For some reason I prefer the grape

If only I had my indica collection…there’s a few types missing…whatever they were

  • Aussie Blue
  • Christmas Tree Indica
  • Mello Yello
  • Sticky Icky
  • Aussie Purple Indica

Something along the lines of this little guy

look at her trifoliate structure, so elegant

Finally, here’s some Mullumbimby madness types. Kangativa does it better than me though! I don’t have the patience and it relies on too many factors to get it perfect

It looks like you have a wide variety of ecosystems to grow in.

Is Mullumbimby Madness a good smoke?

@Pedro_Bann

Yeah I don’t mind it, keeping in mind that a lot of what people refer to as “Mullum Madness” actually isn’t the real thing.

The authentic product can turn into towering trees that produce multiple bricks per tree with the right climate, generally subtropical. It’s a euphoric hazey high with a nice grapey aftertaste. I think the THC/CBD ratio is something like 22%/5% (not sure! this is just what I read somewhere) so it’s not paranoia inducing but actually just a really chill uplifting smoke.

It’s generally suitable for climates that are warmer, with enough rain to support the growth of larger sativa trees and sufficient dry climate during the flowering system while avoiding frost. I think there’s a thread over on IC Mag somewhere that a user called Kangativa made back in the day that demonstrates how big that strain can get.

Mine too mate! The golden sativa is a real humdinger, super low maintenance and just thrives, real nice hashy taste too.

Hey mate I was blessed with some “mullumbimby purple” seeds from an oldtimer from that neck of the woods, I’m interested if you know the lineage or recognize the pheno by any chance. This guys been in the mountains for 40 years or so.
