Anti-tutorial on building your own lights

i tried taping them but they kept moving just a little. the setup i came up with in the first post was the best out of several attempts. i’m using 60/40 tin-lead for low temps. it doesn’t look like they’re pretinned at all to me, but they are so damned tiny they may be. i forgot to put links in the op to the leds.

blue
red
white
green

it almost seems like the blue are a waste of money as the spectrum is close to the white. i need to get some green ones also and from what i saw that comes real close to full spectrum. missing a little but close enough.

Quite often “white” leds are actually blue leds with a coating of phosphor.

now that you mention it, they are yellow on the surface and the rest are white. the red one doesn’t have any square of clor in it but the blue and green do.
