In AB we got all sorts of different strains in cans like 5or more years ago. Before that it was just ‘tuna Kush’ but it was just any skunky weed put in a can and sold for a premium

On September 25, 1987, 18 cans similar to those found in supermarkets to sell powdered milk were found floating near the coast of the municipality of Maricá, in Rio de Janeiro, some 60 kilometers from the capital.
In late August, the Federal Police of Rio received a US statement that the Solana Star ship, which was coming from Australia, was off the coast of Rio de Janeiro carrying 22 tons of marijuana, which would later be transferred to two other boats destined for to Miami. The crew discovered that the boat was being searched for and dumped its entire arsenal into the sea. Around September 20, several cans began to be found on the coast of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

I live in southern Brazil, many fishermen here, worked in this region, the Police took a while to find out about this…
There were fishermen who made houses with it and coated it with clay to disguise it…
The quality was much higher than the cannabis sold here, it was very successful, and today the expression of the can means something of great quality.
However, there were no seeds, I would like to find this variety as well, and confirm with someone who has seen a can like this.

Love me some tuna Kush, pink tuna is still in my top 20 100% dank, crusher indica that was so sticky it was ridiculous. Loved the cans too. Lasted a few years then dissapeared…, appx. 3 years later reappeared but was slightly different. More earthy but still potent as all hell! But they were asking 150$ for 14g’s bought one and never went back. Still looking for pink tuna beans (been about 2 years ) I have 4/5 strains I’ve been searching for since then that all have proven extremely hard to locate.

Just wow qll these comments bring me back to my teenage years that tuna can kush was pricey yup buy damn it was good and the smell wowee maybe one day I can find beans of it !!!

@topshelf I think we used to smoke the same pink way back in the day . It was the best of the best absolutely cakked and that lovely taste that sweet pink taste till the last toke if you made it that far.
This is how I believe we lost most of the great smoke of our past weather its tuna, pink ,hashplant, ect
People were growing the pink kush from reeferman. Some were a tiny bit taller/ stronger but all were that dank 11week pink candy . Over the years of commercial guys only keeping the best yielding fastest finishers, eventually the gene pool lost some potency. While the pink was still bombs it lost a step imo.
Around that time the Rockstar came around and it was 1.5-2 weeks faster and more yield still dank smell and a strong smoke . Growers gave up thier pink for r.s.
At the same time reeferman crossed the pink to the pk . To shorten flowering times and increase yield that was th beginning of the end for our beloved pink kush .
Now all the pink around has a hint of our favorite.
Most of the great bc dank started with the king cut . It is still around so theoretically it could be recreated
