The clone breeding worked. Obviously low number of seed were produced. I got 5 brown seeds from the BR/GDP that was bred with Thai Skunk. 1 f2 seed from the js/bd/sk91 was all that was there. The skunk91 mother is hard to pollinate very few seeds were produced. Its almost like its sterile.

And the same pollen has been used to create thousands of seeds. Its the female. She’s damn near sterile. Mr Watson or whatever scientist made the modified RNA did so with the intention of making sure no one but them would make money selling RKS seeds.

If I had to speculate. They made skunk in a lab or took the work of others (skunk) and genetically modified it to to fuck up the genetics to stop the production of high grade cannabis. But they got greedy and saw a large opportunity or someone with power and sway did and they were told to fix the genetic problem they created and soon G13 escapes a goverment lab…
Maybe G13 was made to correct the skunk.

I find it very odd the way they break down genetics using skunk as a class of genotype
Looking up Romulan and seeing it as a mostly hemp variety hurt my feelings a little bit
Also not sure how they can use OG kush as a class either considering OG kush should be a hodgepodge of genetics and to see some stuff that predates og kush labeled as having og kush markers is weird to me maybe I’m just not grasping it all yet
One thing I did grasp was the immense cost to have some basically recieve a tissue sample from you it makes me wonder how many of those cultures end up in another lab being used for financial gain
I could understand kush being a type as I think kush flower structure is different from other varieties and I often see this structure carried over to other varieties

I think the skunk terpenes come from the middle east not positive and have no proof but the funkiest stuff around anymore terp wise to me is in Afghani type plants the “hashplant” varieties maybe it was mixed with something else to get there but I firmly believe that RKS was a commercial hybrid it was sold in too much of an abundance I think to be a landrace but then again a decade before and Columbian and Panama flooded the market the same way
But to say skunk is a genotype seems almost like bro science to me they should have labeled it something else in my opinion when I hear just the generic term skunk used it reminds me of the British or my mom who calls everything that’s not reggie skunk lol
