Autopot rot question

Hey guys so I got the autopot system 3.9 gallon pots 12 gallon res 6 pots with auto base and air domes going and it the system really overwatered big time and saturated the soil, so I turned the water off in the system,I checked the root system and all I could smell was eggs so I put my fan over the pots on high,I’m in the beginning of week 3 of flower,im assuming anerobic or beginning
Stages of root rot,I’m kinda confused on if it’s okay to use microbes like recharge or beneficial bacteria king crab in these systems or if it’s suppose to be sterile? have some uc roots left or maybe some hydrogen peroxide once there soil dries?

Did you use a 50/50 Mix of Perlite + Medium?

I just had this once with the autopots and that was when i used too less perlite.

I only use promix hp, no air dome and zero bottom perlite or clay pebbles with my autopots but i only use the autopots when im growing very big plants as i found it a waste to grow smaller to medium sized plants in them plants that would require multiple daily waterings work best in the autopots in my experience. If you smell eggs you are most likely smelling root rot. Big almost rootbound plants in the autopots for the win

res got too warm do you know the temps of the water anyway its happened not going to lie that does not sound good in 3rd week of flower maybe try and put a couple air stones in the res air it up big time and get some Ho2o i peroxide i would hold off on adding anything unless i knew it was not going to feed the rot

You should really try some sort of hydroguard type stuff (Way overpriced) or even run a sterile rez and top feed any amendments. Having lots of root rot fighting bacteria is a good thing.

Do you have anything in the bottom of your soil like clay pebbles or the plastic spacer that autopots for the pots?
If you have just medium in your pot this could be your issue.
You need to creat oxygen in the bottom of the pot or else you will have this happening.
I use autopots for the last 2 years and have not had this issue.
I either use clay pebbles at the bottom or the plastic spacers they sell at autopots for the bottom of your pots.
Good luck hope this helps
Also as stated above
Check your reservoir temps
You don’t want them to cold or to hot.
Also how cold is the floor you have your tent on?
This can also cause an issue if to warm or cold.

It was fine for weeks,in the beginning I wasn’t putting as much water in the res,as I’ve just been feeding a drop of king crab in the water,as soon as I put more water in,the plants looked soggy my perlite was soaked so I shut the water off,I do have the airbase spacer, and the airdome your suppose to not have to use the pebbles and to get the promix into the little holes in the airbase and the copper root square when I pick the plant up out to check the roots they’re growing into the airdome, still white,I’m using promix tried to do 50 50

What are the temps on the floor?
