Back at it, here I grow again azseaindooin420 last greenhouse grow

That’s pretty cheap, with the price of building materials now I bet that would easily be 5k in materials nowadays

Easily 5K.

As I recall, most of the material costs were nails, insulation and electrical. The three-tab roofing was new but smoke damaged, $120. Except the yellow cedar posts, all of the windows and almost all of the lumber was reclaimed. One door was a second, the other reclaimed. Oh, and renting the ditch witch to get power to the cabin once the cabin was finished.

Thats awesome! Always a fan of builds with recycled materials! I’ve still got a bunch of left over 2x4 and OSB, might have to build a lil guest house in the back with it, or a storage shed, def something

Recycled/reclaimed materials? Oh hell yes!

I found this video on youtube and fell in love with the concept. In the county I live in I can build a 12’ x 12’ building with zero permits. It can’t be plumbed but can have power run to it. I’ll build it tall enough for a sleeping loft , put in a small wood stove and have myself a little man cave / dog house if I tick off the wife.

I like the radial arm saw there in the pic. Haven’t seen one of those since High School where there was a series of holes in the wall to the side of it from people trying to rip cut stuff with blade turned sideways. That baby had a much longer list of potential dangers than most of the other stuff  Back in the good 'ole days when people had to be responsible for their own well-being. I feel like generally people are getting a little too coddled and protected.

I feel for 'ya on your trenching journey. Nice job on the panel!

Do you think you are going to need to upgrade your swamp cooler situation with the greenhouse growing by a factor of 2?

Haha ya my old neighbor hooked me up with it, haven’t used it once haha thing seems dangerous haha but a free saw is a free saw haha

Ya that power situation cleaned up nicely back there.

In this new climate i don’t think so, last area we hit 120, this areas average peak high in the summer is 98. So I don’t think I’ll be battling heat much.

Felt motivated today so made some more progress on the project, since the walls are 4 ft tall and a good wind barrier I’m tempted to get some seeds going

Nice progress! Getting some plants going ought to keep that motivation :100:

Looks great man, I can imagine how much fun it is trenching for those lines

Man that line in the pic wasn’t power, it was my main water line for my house, woke up this morning and it separated just pissing water all over, figured it out and got it back to good but wtf, wierd place to drop the main feed but might be able to put a closer spigot to my greenhouse off the main

I’ve been wondering: How do you access the gables, and atyach those panels? From the inside?

Your seeds landed today holy cow! Thanks man. I’m good on autos for a minute.

The cables usually will come in the top or bottom of the panel and the panels just screw to a flat surface so it’s just hooking in the 2 120v lines(240v box), the common and since it’s subpanel it also needs it own seperate ground bar

Building…well, anything is meditative. It’s like the logical side of your brain is busy, and the creative side can wander.
