Welcome to og bromel. Great looking plants for the first growđ±
Without checking the pH, youâre kinda flying blind. Defoliating will improve air flow. Nice looking plant.
Hey guys, Iâve defoliated her now. I didnât feel very comfortable with it, I have to admit, but she looks much better in my opinion. I also ordered a digital measuring device to determine the PH value.
Thatâs ordinary look after defoliation just donât worry. You will see how easy and bushy it comes to grow now
It feels weird or wrong at first but when you get used to it (& how the plant responds), it feels natural, just one more tool in the tool boxâŠ
Cheers

Hey guys, hereâs a little update. She survived the defoliating well, I think. The PH value has fallen to 6.7 after watering. The average humidity is 51%.
Looking good man. My first 5 plants were all herms. I definitely buckled up for a rough ride in the beginning.
In France we say âavoir la main verteâ, which translate to have a green hand ^^
Nice plant for a beginner indeed, keep up the good work
Beginner or not, that is a very nice plant @Bomel262 .
She is looking happy and strong. Well done.
Nice one. That must have been a real thick bush before defol. Or are you easy on the leaf removal? I donât remove too much myself. Mostly lowers
Yes, she was very bushy and dense. Since I defoliated for the first time, I have divided it into several days. Only the leaves that were discolored later also healthy ones that took up too much space for better airflow
Hey Guys,
Here is a little Update:
As you can see, she doesnât look quite so beautiful anymore. I did a bit of research and think, since I havenât really used a lot of fertilizer so far, that it is related to the PH value and the nutrient intake is not working properly. I have problems adjusting the PH value. I tried to lower it with normal water (PH 7) and lemon juice. It also works at times up to 6.5. After approx. 2 hours, however, the value is back to 7. I have now ordered PH + and PH - from Biobizz and hope that I can solve the problem in the long term.
I think she looks beautiful still, Nice purple fad happening too.
She looks hungry. I think some cal-mag and bloom feed will help.
Iâm not sure what week you are at. My guess is 4-5 week mark.
Yeah you are right this is week 5 of flowering.
Iâm afraid of mes screwing it up in the last few weeks. But I will fertilize carefully during the week.
I always start at 1/2 strength for any nutes.
I use nutes up till 8th week, then only water till harvest.
I will do the same. Thanks for the advice!
I think she is chugging along with the program nicely.
@InTheWoods has it right though. Half strength is how I would go with everything until I find out if a plant is requiring more than that. Then straight water the last week or so.
Hey guys, when the trichomes turn brown, isnât that usually harvest time? Most of them are milky in any case. But actually, she should only be there in 2-3 weeksâŠ
Hey Guys,
Its done! My first cultivation successfully completed! Without your help, it would very likely have been nothing, thank you again to everyone!
Feels good to fill jars doesnât it?
Looks very nice.
