Blueberry Twist Grow Diary

I use these ones. And yeah. Once they’re out of seedling stage I get their final pot ready, dig a little hole in the middle and drop them in. Some people cut some slits in the side but the roots get through the mesh without issue. I do put a ziploc bag over them to help keep humidity up, then keep them in the drip tray shown in the tent, I just pour a few cups of water in whenever they need it and let the soil and backs wick it up.

hoping for around 10-12oz this time. My last grow gave me 7.5oz and an extra 2oz of trim, but I had to kill off one plant because it wasn’t flowering and the two that did fine lost a couple branches to careless scissor work and a falling fan. So far all three plants are doing great and I haven’t broke anything off yet. lol. The vendor that sells these seeds says they can be done flowering in as little as 7 weeks, so that would put me at 12/18 for harvest if it holds true. Hoping that’s the case because I need to drain the rain collector before temps stay below freezing.

11/30/2022: A month into flowering. A little disappointed at the front left plant. It never had a main cola take off and just stay stunted despite getting the same feedings as the other two. Before I put the trellis net in I was rotating them around the tent once a week as well to make sure they each got some time in the best lighting spots. Still gonna produce but won’t have those big buds the other two are going to have. If my timeline is correct these should get chopped and hung around Christmas.

12/11/2022: 6 weeks into flower and things are mostly progressing well except I have some yellowing fan leaves towards the top of the canopy. From what I can tell the leaves below the canopy look fine, so I’m not sure if it’s bleaching from the light or over/under feeding. I’m still getting noticeable bulk growth in the colas so I’m hoping it’s just bleaching. I was looking at a Christmas harvest if the seed vendor’s flowering time estimate is accurate so I’m going to try to ride it out.

12/12/22: Started checking with the microscope yesterday for trichome development and things are looking to be on track for a harvest within the next couple weeks. I don’t enjoy a couch lock high so I try to get them before there’s too much amber, so looks like I’m close.

Just two more weeks!

12/19/2021: took some more microscope shots today to check trichome progress. Still seeing a bit of clear in there so I might not be harvesting on Xmas like I was hoping. Everything looks primarily cloudy, and I don’t want much amber because I hate couch lock buzzes, but might still be a New Year’s day harvest instead.

12/23/2022: Got a few shots through the jewelers loupe because I couldn’t tell if the trichomes looked cloudy or if the light from my microscope was making it look that way because of the light on it. I need to make a decision on harvesting soon I think. Almost all the leaves on the canopy are yellow, I haven’t done a flush, just the same feeding schedule with ph’d water, so either I didn’t feed enough or my PH meter is off…or it’s something else I’m not aware of. Last grow stayed nice and green up until the chop. It’s likely too late to correct it now since I’m so close to harvest, but don’t want to risk losing this grow because I fumbled at the 1yd line.

How many weeks in flower are these? The yellowing of the leaves are because the plants are in senescence. Looking at the pistils, you can see they turning brownish-red, another indicators the plants are finishing. The question is what kind of effect are you looking for in the finished plant. Look at this chart. Good luck!

went into flower Oct 30, so it’ll be 8 weeks on Sunday. Seed vendor said 7-10 weeks so I’m in the window. Last harvest I chopped with little to no amber because I hate a couch lock high. So aiming for that this time but my eyes are fucked so I can never really tell if it’s all cloudy or still a lot of clear.

Looking closely at your pictures, the trichomes are still clear, so you maybe looking at 10 weeks to finish. Post some photos next week to compare.

Here are some pics from yesterday. I definitely see some clear in there

Looking at these I see more cloudy mixed with the clear, maybe another week.

Cool, thanks for the input. Now I have to figure out my water situation. I’m in that storm that rolled through and my rain barrel is now frozen

@Tejas how’s it looking? I still see a bit of clear but to my eyes it looks mostly cloudy and even see some amber in some pics(or it’s clear with green from the leaves coming through…can’t completely tell)
